Overall, the experience was average and the facilities were decently maintained. Spaces and food was hygienic and appropriate as per college standards. Wireless connectivity was provided to all students.
Overall, experience was average. The curriculum was good for freshers but we anticipated more real-life examples and case studies rather than purely theoretical knowledge. The experience could've been a bit better.
Overall, experience was average. The placements were usually slightly below market standards amd the companies would mostly be based on the industry-connects of the faculty within the university. The experience could've been a bit better.
Overall, experience was average. The course was decently costly for a student from a regular modest background. This is in comparison to the careers that began after the course ended. Experience could've been a bit better.
Good campus life. Campus life was quite entertaining as the University is located in a beautiful place. There was no dearth of amenities in and around the campus. This proved to be a rather enjoyable experience.
Infrastructure is quite nice and welcoming , and quite advanced technology is used for teaching, they also have large auditorium as well to conduct seminars, and specially situated near mountains this place is a bliss.
Teachers here are quite experienced and knowledgeable , Believe more in practical study instead of bookish knowledge, they are also quite helpful and will clear your doubt no matter how many times you ask.
I am in my 1st year so can't say much about placements. But based on what I have heard the placement cell is quite helpful and supporting during placement time and they also guide students regarding the right path.
I think it's a great value for money
It's quite happening and they have some great cafes inside campus.
The Infrastructure of college is very Morden and is always up to date campus is also clean and well maintained . The building have a touch on Morden and very classy look and courts for sports are well maintained and constructed very nicely
I am pursuing Integrated BBA-MBA in marketing and my experience with faculty is always good they are friendly and they listen to students problem and also gave there contact for any queries. Faculty are very good and provide study material
I am not that much aware but after listening and talking with my seniors they said placements are happing and students are getting place also with good package and good companies are also approaching UPES
They are providing great facilities and just students just wants more transport facilities to city .
Hostel life in Upes is very good here hostel committee celebrate every festival with full dedication and they even conduct hostel party for hostellers
Overall experience in Upes is good and exciting
The infrastructure of School Of business, University of Petroleum and energy Studies is one of the best infrastructure that will be provided across the country. They have all the facilities that a student is required.
I pursuing my Masters in Business Management from this college known as school of Business, Universityy of Petroleum and energy studies. They have the best teachers and the quality of teachers is just excellent.
The Placement of this college is just excellent. The students which got placed through the School of Business, University of Petroleum and Energy Studies is the one of the best placements. This college give the package upto 1 Crore.
UPES, has impressive infrastructure. The campus is well-designed, providing a conducive environment for learning. Classrooms are well equipped with all the facilities with modern technology equipments. The library is well stocked and where u can get all the required books. The campus is in the mountains of Dehradun, adding to its charm.
The academics curriculum at UPES is comprehensive and industry-oriented. As an MBA student, I found the faculty to be highly knowledgeable and supportive. They encourage critical thinking and practical application of concepts. Most of them have prior industry experience in there respective field.
Placements are decent you can say, as they do get you placed and its mostly depend on the amount of effort and hardwork you put into your academics. The carrier services team of UPES helps you into your placement and internship journey. Some companies are good and some are average.
Fee is something that can be seen as the downside of UPES. As a regular MBA costs around 16 lacs (2022) batch, and when you spend that amount of money then you must expect a good ROI which can trouble you. Most of the college fee are half than of UPES so you must think over this before investing.
Campus life of UPES is so rich and viberant. You will get to know many people from different part of INDIA. Everyone with unique talent and abilities, regular sports and cultural events are being organized. There are numerious Clubs and committees in which you can take part and learn so many skills. And bonus of all is the weather of Dehradun you will fall in love with the place.
Except than of fee nothing else concerned me. The campus life to the beautiful mountains you will remeber for the rest of your life.
I've been at my college for two years now, and I've been generally happy with the infrastructure. The classrooms are clean and comfortable, and the labs are well-equipped. The library has a good selection of books, and the sports center is a great place to work. The hostels are also clean and spacious, and the food in the food court is good enough. However, there are a few areas where I think the college could improve, roads outside the campus are something that trobles every time.
I am in my second year of the MBA Marketing program at UPES, and am generally happy with the program. The lectures are knowledgeable and experienced, and they use a variety of teaching methods to keep the classes engaging. The curriculum is also up-to-date. A few areas need improvement like, opportunities for students to network with industry professionals.
The quality of placements at my college is comparable to other fine colleges. The placement cell is active and works hard to bring in companies from a variety of industries. The average salary offered is also competitive. Still need some room for improvement like supporting students in terms of mock interviews and workshops.
MBA in core costs around 4lacs for each semester, which in total makes 16 lacs approx. (2022-24) batch. Investing that much of money for a regular MBA doesn't sound economical, but yes you do get many extra perks for paying this much of extra money. It totally depends on who you are n what are your preference based on all that you can measure if it is value-for-money or not.
The college is located in a scenic area of Dehradun, with lush green surroundings and easy access to nature. The college and campus life is too good as you will always feel the beautiful weather of Dehradun. The college offers a variety of activities for students to participate in, including sports, cultural events, and student clubs.
Yes, there are all the necessary facilities available in the campus which are needed to fulfill requirements. There are various things like air conditioning, wifi, projectors in the classroom and all are well maintained. Yes the living space is very neat and clean and food is also hygienic.
I am studying bba in finance for enhance skill in finance department. There are very much experienced teacher who teaches based on practical life. Yes curriculum is updated and includes all the recent developments in the field. Yes placements are good and we are capable to do take a job in field in which we are studying.
Placements are good in each field. The percentage of placements is 96% and the highest package offered is 11-12 lakh per annum according to the capability of students and the average salary in graduation is 4-5 lakh per annum yes the placements process is easy and all the faculties are supportive and help students to take good packages.
My college has very good infrastructure it's design resembles my school's infrastructure which makes it feels like home. Facilities provided by my college are good have enough equipments for the students to use, most important thing it's very hygienic, the living space and the food both.
I'm pursuing bcom(hons) with e-commerce as my specialisation. I chose this course I enjoyed studying about business and their techniques. , And the quality of teaching is also good as our teachers try to teach with different methods to make is more interesting and understanding.
As far I have heard UPES has a good placements for their students. I don't know much about who got the height salary placement but there were many students from engeneering background and some were from law and management background. It's not an easy process to earn the placement to have score good marks and companies interview the students to appoint them .
I course costs around more than 1 lakh per year as I'm studying bcom hons. I feel money is worth spending here as there's good teaching here and UPES is one the best colleges in uttarakhand
I would say Best features of my college are that. There's an opportunity for everyone ,like dance competitions , singing competition, many types of sports events , cultural events and many more , teachers and the supporting staff are very friendly, they always helps whenever we need their help.
I would totally recommend to study in UPES as it has opportunities for everyone.
Decent infrastructure classrooms are good there is a extra curricular activity area we have a huge ground Wi-Fi is okay not that great it sometime works and sometime not campuses clean comparatively to other universities.
Teaching is good there are many faculties which are PhD holders gold medalist even there are foreign faculties for us. Do have many extra curricular activities for going on such as singing competitions writing competition debates industry visit etc.
Placement options are less. We'll not recommend it. Here placement opportunities are not that great many times be fine recruit recruiter that we very less compare to other colleges for example if a college like graphic Era is lgiving 5 lakh lpa our college only give 2 to 3 lakh for the same profile.
Aur tuition he is around 1.45L for 1 year and the living expenses are different
Well equipped with good facilities available at campus itself. Wifi, laboratories, classrooms, hostel are all well equipped and a library with tremendous collection of books is also there. Being situated close to nature in a lush green environment of Dehradun, it is quite serene here.
Academics are superb of this college every student gets well prepared with the help of exams and class tests. Also the teachers focus on each and every student and helps them to solve there problem in even spare time. Teachers here are helpful, well-qualified and supportive. A little bound by the system but all in all, they are dedicated and aim to provide the best knowledge to students.
There is a good placement facility. Students on an average get placed in companies like ITC, Aditya Birla etc with decent salary packages. However, this year due to the ongoing covid situation, placement wasn't that good.
Okay, okay. For normal students they charge fee twice. Half at the start of each semester & for for NRI students they pay at the start of each college year.
Campus life is good and enjoyable. Everyone here is friendly and cooperative including both teachers and seniors. A lot of extracurricular activities like football competitions, cricket tournaments, basketball tournaments, debates etc are also held every year in which students can take part if interested.
Overall I think this college is worth consideration if you are planning to take admission here.
85% Seat Allocation for Delhi Candidates : DTU reserves 85% of its seats across programs, including B.Tech, BBA, and MBA, for candidates who have completed their qualifying education—such as Class 12 for undergraduate courses or a Bachelor’s degree for MBA—from a recognized institution located in Delhi. Given that your schooling is from Delhi, you fulfill this criterion and are eligible for the Delhi quota. This reservation policy prioritizes you over out-of-state candidates, who compete for the remaining 15% of seats, thereby enhancing your chances of securing admission.
Validity of Caste Certificate from Haryana : Your caste certificate from Haryana is valid for claiming reservation benefits at DTU, provided it is issued by a competent authority and adheres to the Government of India’s guidelines for categories such as OBC-NCL, SC, or ST. DTU, as a state university, accepts caste certificates from other states for reservation purposes, so your certificate should not pose any issue, assuming it aligns with the category you’ve applied under. For instance, if applying under OBC-NCL, the certificate must be recent (typically issued within the last year) and reflect your status on the Central OBC list. The 85% Delhi quota is determined solely by your schooling location, not the state of issuance of your caste certificate, so this aspect does not impact your eligibility for the quota.
MBA-Specific Eligibility at DTU : If you are applying for DTU’s MBA program, the eligibility criteria include a Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 60% marks (50% for SC/ST candidates). Admission typically requires a valid CAT score, followed by a counseling process or an interview. As a Delhi candidate, you fall under the 85% quota, and your caste certificate can be utilized to avail reservation benefits, potentially easing cutoff requirements or prioritizing your seat allocation.
Gender ratios in colleges differ a lot from one institution to another. Certain colleges draw a larger number of male students, and some other colleges have mostly female students.
For example:
Some military colleges have more male learners than females.
Several engineering colleges see men as the minority group among their students.
There are some colleges that mainly focus on education, social work, or health sciences, and they tend to have a greater number of female students.
Students come from diverse backgrounds and surrounding areas, depending on the college's location and focus. The nature of the student body can differ a lot from one school to another.
No, Delhi Technological University (DTU) does not use CUET for admissions to its B.Tech programs. DTU primarily relies on the JEE Main scores for B.Tech admissions, with the Joint Admission Counselling (JAC) Delhi handling the process. CUET is used for admissions to other UG programs offered by DTU, such as BBA, BA (Hons.) Economics, and B.Des.
Elaboration:
B.Tech Admissions:
DTU's B.Tech admissions are based on the scores obtained in the JEE Main entrance exam, which is conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA).
JAC Delhi:
The Joint Admission Counselling (JAC) Delhi handles the counselling and seat allocation process for B.Tech programs at DTU, along with other participating institutions like Netaji Subhas Institute of Technology (NSIT), Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology-Delhi (IIIT-D), and Indira Gandhi Delhi Technical University for Women (IGDTUW).
CUET for Other Programs:
While JEE Main is the primary entrance for B.Tech, CUET is used for admission to other UG programs like BBA, BA (Hons.) Economics, and B.Des at DTU.
