Academics
I pursued BBA Foreign Trade at UPES Dehradun. The course curriculum covered major aspects of international trade and business. Faculty members were helpful and had good subject knowledge. The university focused on assignments, presentation and practical learning. While some subject were highly relevant to industry requirements, a few could be updated further.
College Infra
The infrastructure at UPES Dehradun is good and provide all the basic facilities required for students. Classrooms are equipped with smart boards and Wi-Fi and the library has a good collection of books and digital resources. the campus is clean and well maintained. Hostel and food facilities are satisfactory, though there is always room for improvement.
Campus Life
UPES Dehradun offers a good campus life with a mix of academics, cultural events, sports, and students clubs. The campus environment is friendly and provides many opportunities for students to participate in extracurricular activities. The location is scenic and safe, which adds to the overall experience. While there can be some challenges related to managing academics and activities, the university provides a positive environment for learning, networking and personal development.
Placements
The placement opportunities at UPES Dehradun are decent, but students need to put in their own efforts to secure good offers. The placement cell provides support through training sessions, mock interviews, and company drives. One of the best things about the college is its green and well maintained infrastructure. The campus is surrounded by nature, creating a peaceful and positive learning environment. Where student participate in networking activities.
Campus Life
The University provides a good balanced between academic, extracurricular activities and social interaction. Annual cultural and technical festivals are organized every year.
Placements
Placement at UPES are decent and student generally become eligible for campus placement from the final year. Companies from different sectors visit the campus for recruitment, offering roles in management, logistics, consulting, sales and operations.
Value For Money
I rated Value for money because Upes offer good academic modern infrastructure, industry exposure and a vibrant campus life.

The academic environment here is a mixed bag. Professors are knowledgeable but teaching styles vary widely—some are inspiring, others just go through slides. The curriculum covers basics well but lacks real-world application and innovation. Assignments and exams feel routine rather than challenging. Overall, you learn the essentials, but expect to push yourself if you want deeper understanding.
College Infra
campus has a basic but functional setup. Classrooms are average—some well-maintained, others a bit outdated. Labs are usable but lack advanced equipment for hands-on learning. Library has decent resources but limited seating and digital access. Sports and recreation facilities exist but are minimal. Overall, infrastructure supports studies adequately but leaves room for improvement.
Campus Life
The campus buzzes with occasional energy, but events feel sparse and repetitive. Cafeteria chatter and small clubs bring life, yet social activities often lack organization. Friendships form naturally, but nightlife and hangout spots are limited. It’s decent for those who enjoy quiet, self-driven college life, though excitement is modest.
Placements
Placements here feel like a lottery might get lucky, but most of us end up hunting on our own. Few companies visit, and packages are modest. The training sessions are often repeating old content. Networking opportunities are limited, so real exposure depends on your personal efforts. Not ideal if placements are your priority.bad placements

Honestly, paying this much feels more like an investment in patience than education. The fees don’t match the facilities, learning resources, or placement opportunities.
