Sevdie Institute of Management and Technology (SIMT), Lucknow, is a centrally approved institution running various diploma courses in engineering and technology. The institute follows the admission process in accordance with Uttar Pradesh Joint Entrance Examination (Polytechnic), popularly known as JEECUP. Usually, the admission session at SIMT begins after the announcement of the JEECUP results. However, dates may vary for students; therefore, it is advisable for students to keep track of the precise schedule for the JEECUP exam, which is conducted in the first half of the year. The criteria for eligibility to admission in SIMT diploma courses are generally the successful completion of the 10th standard or equivalent from a recognized board.
Candidates are required to have studied subjects as per the requirement of their chosen program, such as Mathematics, Science, and English, while specific combinations may differ from course to course. JEECUP is the main entrance test for admission to SIMT's diploma programs. This state-level examination will assess the candidate on Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. Application Process
The application process for Sevdie Institute of Management and Technology, Lucknow, comprises the following stages:
1. JEECUP Registration: Candidates need to get registered and appear for the Joint Entrance Examination for Uttar Pradesh (Polytechnic) first.
2. JEECUP Counselling: After the announcement of the results of JEECUP, the shortlisted candidates must participate in the counselling conducted by the Uttar Pradesh government.
3. Choice Filling: During counselling, candidates can mention SIMT and the courses of their choice in their order of preference.
4. Seat Allotment: Based on JEECUP rank and availability, seats are allotted to candidates.

7. Final Admission: The admission file is closed after payment of the fees; students are now invited to attend orientation programs.
Degree wise Admission Process
Diploma Programs: SIMT offers multiple diploma programs of three years in duration. These programs are mainly admission based on JEECUP scores. The following diploma courses, each with an intake of 30 seats, are being offered by the institute:
All the candidates for these programs have to qualify in the JEECUP examination and satisfy the eligibility criteria laid down by the institute. Usually, the selection will be done according to a merit list prepared on the basis of scores of JEECUP.
