SBSC provides a range of facilities to support students. The college has one computerized air conditioned library stocked with variety of books providing all useful resources. While college is equipped with vast collection of books the library still needs to replace old outdated books with more new books that are in syllabus so that more student could issue books from library. Additionally SBSC has modern computer labs, geography labs, emergency room, and a math lab and girls common room. Canteen provides good food in affordable prices. While the college offers various sports, I feel that there could be improvements in availability of sports equipment and the size of the sports room. And some classrooms can be in better conditions. The construction is ongoing so hopefully an auditorium could be also provided with better classrooms.
Affiliated with the prestigious University of Delhi, SBSC offers a dynamic learning environment that helps students from diverse backgrounds. I've graduated with a BCom degree as SBSC is famous for commerce and Economics degrees. With events and societies this college provide a solid foundation for students' future planning, i.e. competitive exams and postgraduate studies like MBA. The faculty members are dedicated professionals who give knowledge and guidance to students. While some classrooms still require maintenance, the overall quality of education is decent.
Students can work with faculty on research projects offered by the college. Apart from this top companies like DELLOITE, KPMG, etc. visits the campus every year. Placement cell of SBSC is very active and supportive. Although there is no such 100% placement guaranteed as only good students with high profile are selected on the basis of their overall knowledge. The average package for the year 2023 was 4-5 LPA CTC with highest around 12.5 LPA. SBSC also provides enough internship opportunities as well.
For the fees paid, SBSC offers excellent returns on investment. With its low fees and quality education, the colleges ensures that students receive value for their money. Additionally extracurricular activities and societies contribute to the overall development of students, preparing them for future challenges and opportunities. Overall I fell SBSC is good college for its ROI.
my campus life experience is overall good, although, because of pandemic I experienced only last year of my college life there. Hostels are not provided by the college but pg and accommodation is easily available nearby college area. Fests and regular events happens every month by the societies. Professors and helping staff are very supporting. Metro is very near to the college and shops and food is available easily.
The college infrastructure was decent enough in terms of educational infrastructure, including computer labs, wifi enabled library with large number of books on various aspects. There were auditoriums and a large play ground as well. However, the physical infrastructure including washrooms, water coolers, etc were not good. There were broken and unclean, which had to be improved drastically.
The college has teachers which were highly trained in their subject. However, they were often late to classes, and some even didn't take classes at all, which created issues. The curriculum however was based on practical works and involved many projects and group presentations to be made.
The college had some companies in the domain of finance, accounting, marketing and sales, HR, etc. However, majorly B.COM/H, ECO (H) and Mathematics (H) students got jobs. So the college didn't have 100 placements. The average was around 5 lakh per annum.
Overall, the college was decent in terms of value for money. The best part was the affordability. The total college fees was Rs 6000 per annum. And we got decent education, exposure in this amount.
The college has many clubs, committees, cells and societies, which gave a great exposure to learn, participate and delve into. Every other day, there were large scale events and conferences organised by societies and various departments such as the commerce department, economics department, Hindi department, etc. Thus, the campus life was great and learning inducing.
The college is with joining considering the less fees and multitude of opportunities that it gives. The phisical infrastructure has also tended to improve and this problem has been resolved to an extent. The placements are also gradually increasing, thus students should work hard in the entrance exams to get into this college.
Some classrooms are good but some are not as they have broken benches too and we do not have an auditorium and very messy classes. The grounds are not well maintained and we do not have digital classrooms in every class.
Our college is one of the best college in academics and all updates in education policy is included in our college curriculum. I am pursuing bcom honours in this college and which is one of the known courses here.
For placements this college does both mass and quality recruitment so we can say it is one of the best here.top four commerce companies comes every year to recruit students with their guidelines and thanks.
Other than living expense college fees is not on the higher side as being a government college so we can say it is value for money.we can not say it’s cheap but yeah it is very little costly in comparison.
Campus life is very good due to different societies or clubs you say people Are very engaging and all.
Being a government college principal use the money for themselves which they should not do and they should make the sex ratio better to make it more engaging.
The college infrastructure is very good and it is a spacious college and the classes of the college are very nice and the canteen space is also decent and the college ground is very spacious and we do not find any issue in infrastructure.
Academics of the college is also good and the faculty of college is also very nice and helpful and we don’t find any issue in academics. Teachers are also helpful and clear our doubts and make us score well.
The placements of our college are also good. Almost all the students get placed every year and the placement cell also provides every necessary information to us on time making easy for us to apply in the companies.
Our college is also value for money if we compare it to the other colleges.
needs to be improved a lot, no proper auditorium, the ground is good, but no rooms for practice dance society or drama society, classes are okayish but can be worked upon, college is small but overall the infrastructure is on the same lines with other DU colleges.
good but needs to be improved, some teachers teach well, while others are just careless, they go on long leaves without completing the syllabus. But I think things have improved now, attendance has also made compulsory
a good college in terms of ROI, a reputed college for recruiters, BIG 4 comes on the campus, average package might be around 3-4 lpa, placement committee is good. Crowd and alumni network is good. Bcom h, bcom p and eco hons mostly apply for placements.
worth it
good
Location is good, alumni network and crowd is good, reputed college, clubs and societies are great
The infrastructure is good. The college had library facilities, sports ground etc. There is proper ground for everything and Students are also satisfied. There is also groun for NCC Candidate and football ground.
Academics is overall good and the admiasion in it is based on merit based and studsnts are free to opt their choice of stream. Faculty are also nice and talented and very helpful. Also the subjects are also good.
The placement for the college is good and the placement is depend upon the students and their capabilities. Also there ia placement committee and member of that committiee had some advantages and jave the opportunity for network.
The college id good both in terms of study and exposure because the feea for the college is very minemnal and can be afford by everyone. The fees is general maximum to 15 thousand. It varies from the course.
The campus life is good and you will get the variois exposure to the events, favcilities and study materials. The campus life is good because you will get to network with different peraons and meet ones.
Overall the college is good for the undergraduate. Also it is good beacause you get the seat on merit. Also the college is nice and beautiful beceause of the location and people. I recommend the college.
The infrastructure is not upto the ground. Main con is that it doesn't have an auditorium and it also doesn't have parking facilities for student . Pros are it have library with wifi, sports ground and we'll spaced canteen.
I am studying BA from this college and the academics here is great, teachers are really supportive and they provide good lectures, their teaching method is very unique and Library provides good books to boost my knowledge. And they also provide practical knowledge of jobs.
Placement is just okay okay . Companies like Deloitte, ey India comes . College has internship cell which provides internship . But most of the students get placed for avg salary package around 2.5 l per year.
As it is government college, so the fees are very low as compared to other colleges. My fees is 15k per year which is very cheaply.
Many club activities happens frequently and fest also held by these clubs so college life is good.
Good and the amenities provided are sufficient not that what a private college would get you. One can always take the advantage of resources they get, playing ground library auditorium green campus and obviously Shaheed Bhagat Singh ji at the photogenic place.
Teachers are helpful you can gain knowledge from them if you really want to! Always try to get full attendance but lately children don't attend college a much and hence sometimes problematic for teachers itself.
Overall placements were good not 100% but yess 4lpa average. Many of our batchmates took the placement some have taken for experience some literally wanted it highest being 12 lakh from ZS and average around 4 lakh as per placement cell
The money they take is perfectly fine.
No not a good campus life only some fests are okaish
Satisfactory!
Shaheed Bhagat Singh college is one of the most reputed college in south campus of delhi university. It has one of the best infrastructure and excellent faculty's for all courses.
