Admission Process in Dear Engineering Colleges, as well as an engineering college affiliated with Shri Someshwar Shikshan Prasarak Mandal's Sharadchandra Pawar College of Engineering and Technology, Someshwarnagar (SSPM SPCET) is one of the most eminent engineering colleges in India. They accredited by competent authorities and offer various courses in engineering, with an admission process being fair and a clear admission process for students. Entry to SSPM SPCET is processed mainly on the basis of merit through the Maharashtra Common Entrance Test (MHT CET). SSPM SPCET follows up the MHT CET admission schedule each year. As the dates slated for the 2025 academic season, the MHT CET examination for the PCB Group will take place on April 8, 2025. 

As much as students should pen their diaries for the date, they need to commence preparations now. Eligibility for entry into the BE programs at SSPM SPCET requires successful completion of the 10+2 or equivalent examination involving compulsory subjects Physics and Mathematics, with Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology/Technical-Vocational subject as an additional subject. Candidates will also have to qualify for the MHT CET exam. The cutoff scores will vary each year, depending on competition and availability of seats.

Application Process

Majorly the following procedures would form the total application process required to enroll a student at SSPM SPCET:

1. Candidates will appear for the MHT CET exams on the dates specified (which falls on April 8, 2025, for the next academic year).

2. Go for registration at the state authority of Maharashtra for the Centralized Admission Process after results of MHT CET are out.

3. Fill in all required personal and academic details in the online application form.

4. Upload most of the documents which include:

• 10th, 12th Marksheets
• MHT CET scorecard
• Domicile Certificate (if applicable)
• Category Certificate (if applicable)
• Recent passport size photographs

5. Make the application fee payment as provided by the admission authorities.

6. Select SSPM SPCET and the chosen BE program at the time of filling the preference for the college.

7. Wait for the result pertaining to the allotment seat according to your MHT CET score and preference. 

8. If a seat is allotted at SSPM SPCET, he/she shall report to college for document verification and online payment of prescribed fees.

9. Other formalities completing admission to college include changing your original document submission and payment of a course fee of Rs 2,72,000.

Admission Process by Degree

B.Tech/BE: The following four BE programs are provided by SSPM SPCET with the respective intake capacity:

1. BE Computer Engineering: 120 seats
2. BE Civil Engineering: 30 seats
3. BE Electrical Engineering: 30 seats
4. BE Mechanical Engineering: 30 seats

Admission to all BE programs essentially depends entirely on the examination of MHT CET. Candidates need to apply through the centralized admission process conducted by the state authorities post-declaration of MHT CET results. The total fees of each BE program adds up to Rs 2,72,000.
