i would like to suggest you to go for SIT tumkur its one of the top institute in the karnataka while NITTE is autonomus as well so i suggest you for SIT as its good in all the way

It depends upon the counselling session and cut off rank. There  is a chance of getting a seat there. good luck for your admissions.

Fee structure was divided into many categories. Students from outer states (other than karnataka) had to pay 156000 approx. per year which excludes hostel charges of 55000 appox. Students of general category of karnataka had to pay only 55000 approx per annum and hostel charges were 55000 approx. Some other category students were exempted from fees.
