Both non-vegetarian & vegetarian food is available on the basis of the requirements of the students. Good hygienic conditions are strictly maintained in both the food and living conditions. Hostel superintendents supervise the functioning of the Hostels regularly. The hostel fees are as per the guidelines of the state government of Odisha.

The college has a Gym facility for the students.

The college has a library that plays a vital role in the dissemination of Knowledge and Information in an academic institution. SIET has recognized the importance of the academic vibrations required in the library and has been growing in this direction, right from its very inception. The library is equipped with a Reference section that can accommodate around 500 students, a Digital library, an Audio Visual Section, a Journal Section, a conference room, a Research Scholar’s Section, a Newspaper and Magazine Section, and a Reprography Section.

The college has sports facilities for all students.

The college has an excellent cafeteria with a seating capacity of more than 200 people. It has a well-planned, hygienic kitchen run by a reputed caterer at administered prices. Multi-cuisine lunch and snacks are being served in the cafeteria. They provide veg and non-veg menus simultaneously on all days. A fast-food restaurant-cum-convenience store is also there.

The college has an auditorium facility for events and seminars.

The college has a well-managed fleet of buses that covers all major routes within the city to provide transportation services between the college and the students' residences.

The college has an air-conditioned multimedia classroom with a wireless LCD projector that facilitates an ideal learning environment. Classrooms are well furnished with LCD projector facilities

The college has a department-based laboratory facility for the students.

The college has a dispensary that provides medical aid to the hostelites and day scholars. Van facilities are available 24 hours to meet the emergency needs of the hostelites and the college. The pharmacy service is available 24 hours for hostelites, even during college hours. A full-fledged first-aid treatment is given on campus to attend to the needy. The college has also made arrangements with doctors to attend to emergency cases at all times. The college has many support services for the benefit of the students as well as staff. In the event of arising of any emergency, a college van along with a one-night duty driver is kept on standby after college hours. General medical checkups of newly admitted students, besides treating day-to-day problems of students as well as staff members and faculty. Fully furnished restrooms are provided in the girls’ hostel and also the boys’ hostel. All the first-aid treatments for fever, headache, and muscle pain are given as quickly as possible. The medicines are purchased regularly as per requirement. The medicine stocks are checked every week.

The college has a guest house/waiting room facility for visiting faculty and student family members.

The field first became an identifiable occupation in the late nineteenth century after the commercialization of the electric telegraph and electrical power supply. It now covers a range of subtopics including power, electronics, control systems, signal processing, and telecommunications. There are equally good opportunities for jobs in the electrical engineering industry and higher education. There is a lot of multidisciplinary research for developing electric vehicles, with great funding and scope all over the world. At the same time good opportunities back home in the industry.
