SND College of Engineering and Research Centre (SNDCOE&RC), Nashik, is a premier educational institution offering various undergraduate and postgraduate programs in the field of engineering and management. Admission to the college is done through a completely merit-based admission process accepting entrance examination scores obtained through various national and state level entrance examinations. The college is under the purview of the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC).
The admission process usually happens around May-June for the academic year starting in August-September. Most of the undergraduate engineering admissions, for example, are based on the performance in JEE Main; while MBA admissions rely primarily on the results of the MAH MBA CET. MHT CET results are also accepted for other courses. There are several ways a student can pursue admission, meaning that applicants with different backgrounds can try their luck.
Minimum of 10+2 from any recognized board in Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry are the basic eligibility criteria for entry into undergraduate programs. Most of the courses require an aggregate of at least 50% marks in the qualifying examination. The applicant must possess a bachelor's degree in the relevant discipline from any recognized university.
Application Process
The application process differs based on program type at SNDCOE&RC :
For B.Tech/BE programs:
1. Qualify JEE Main examination.
2. Register for the state-level counseling process (likely CAP - Centralized Admission Process for Maharashtra).
3. Fill out the college preference form, including SNDCOE&RC as one of the choices.
4. If allotted a seat, report to SNDCOE&RC for document verification and fee payment.
For MBA program:
1. Qualify the MAH MBA CET examination.
2. Register for state-level MBA admission process.
3. Participate in the state's guidelines to the centralized admission process.
4. Confirm admission by completing SNDCOERC if given a seat.
For M.Tech/ME programs:
1. Qualify in GATE or the relevant state-level entrance exam.
2. Apply for admission through the state's admission portal for postgraduate engineering courses.
3. Partake in the counsel for the admission process, taking SNDCOE&RC, if eligible.
4. Formalizing admission at the college if a seat is allotted.
For MCA, BBA and BCA programs:
1. Qualify the relevant entrance exam (if applicable) or meet the eligibility criteria based on 12th standard marks.
2. Apply through the centralized admission process of the state for these courses.
3. Select SNDCOE&RC as one of the preferred colleges.
4. If allotted, complete the admission formalities at the college.
Degree wise Admission Process
B.Tech/BE: B.Tech/BE Programmes:
Mechanical, Electrical, Computer, Civil, Information Technology, Mechatronics, Electronics and Computer Engineering are only a handful of the many B.Tech/BE programs offered at SNDCOE & RC. Admission is primarily based on the JEE Main. The total capacity at B.Tech/BE programs is 480 students, which includes 120 students in the Electrical Engineering branch.
MBA: The college runs an MBA program with a capacity of 180 seats. Admission would be based on MAH MBA CET scores and subsequently the state admission process.
M.Tech/ME: M.Tech/ME programs are offered at SNDCOE & RC in various branches like Computer Engineering, Structural Engineering, Electrical Power System, and Design Engineering. GATE scores or appropriate state-level entrance exam would be the basis for admission typically. Being 75, that would be the aggregate intake across these programs.
MCA: The institute offers an MCA degree with a total intake of 60 seats and does not mention the admission processes, but it would be based on a likely relevant state-level entrance exam.
BBA and BCA: Both these undergraduate programs, Business Administration at 60 seats and Computer Applications at another 60 seats, are likely through 12th standard marks and perhaps a state-level entrance exam.
