• Candidates must meet the TEC Tirunelveli admission requirement.

• Admission is based on marks in Mathematics (100) and Physics + Chemistry (100), totalling 200 marks in the qualifying examination.

• Marks from various boards are equated with the Tamil Nadu State Board using a normalisation method to ensure fairness.

• For CBSE, ISCE, and similar boards, the highest marks at the national level are considered for normalisation.

• A merit list based on the total normalised marks (out of 200) is prepared. Overall and community-wise rank lists are published on the Anna University website.

• 100 seats in Category I and 4% in Category II are reserved for vocational stream candidates. Marks are calculated from related and vocational subjects (theory and practical), reduced to a total of 200.

• The final admission is done after document verification and payment of fees.
