Hey ramakrishnan

Based on the past record you have no chance with the other branches except for civil engineering and mechanical. That is your last hope at vit chennai.however you can try your luck with the other branches like vit bhopal or ap.You have more chance of getting a seat there!you can possibly get a eee also! They are new campuses relatively their quality might not be as good as chennai or vellore ! However all tjis depends on what course you actually want.So try to get a good course like ece or civil .

Your other option is to try from other universities like srm or manipal. They are equally good butnot the best.Again depends on whether you have written their entrance exams.Try for bitsat also.

All  the best ,choose wisely based on your intrest and scope.See what you genuinely like instead of just doing engineering because i have seen many regreting after taking the wrong course.

Counselling status changes every year so just keep updating yourself1

Cheers!

Hey

Your chances of getting into 4th or 5th category are high based on past stats.

It could change ,keep checking your counselling status.

But just keep a backup course in hand. With experience i can tell you that you are eligible for many courses like ece,eee ,civil and mechanical. So make a wise decision!

Cheers! :)

Hey

You surely can get into vit chennai/bhopal/ap

If at all you have a confusion as to which branch is the best ,it is definitely vit chennai! take up this seat and set your engineering life with a good note!his is the best option for you as Vit chennai offers the best courses as it is has great faculties and equipments .It is also the best campus in terms of college life. You will get a huge exposure to several clubs(technical and cultural),workshops, best teachers and labs.!

Vit bhopal and ap are relativley very new. They are just 1 year old.So you cannot expect a great college life there as compared to chennai!

Hello Vijay Kumar
Yes according to my suggestion and assistance with respect to the campus life hostel, library academics, faculty and overall facilities Sastra university is very good enough compare to vit Chennai
Based on my suggestion decide your option of sastra
I hope you understood
All the best

Hi Abhinav,

I hope you are doing well. Your question is quite difficult because VIT and BITS are too good in their own way. As you asked me regarding only placement, education and campus then I will say BITS(any branch i.e goa, Hyderabad,  etc) colleges are best compared to VIT. But the MHRD rank for VIT is good compared to BITS. This is because VIT is better in terms of research when compared to  BITS.So I suggest you BIT if you want better education, placements, campus. Finally, my point of view is irrespective of college studying put your 200% effort to fulfill your dreams then definitely you will be succeeded in your life.

All the best.

Thank you.

hello aspirant ,
well there are plenty number of enhanced and distinguished education is portrayed by many engineering colleges.
but as per your query, VIT chennai is one of the best and well suited for computer science engineering and also it is one of the high ranked university and stands as a leading education and having a world class infrastructure with a source of extraordinary education.
hope you understood,
thank you

In case you are looking forward to do your Bachelor's of Technology in Computer Science Engineering domain, then you should consider choosing Amrita School of Engineering, Bangalore campus. Otherwise in case you wish to disciplines like civil, mech, electrical etc, then you can choose either of the two as far as rankings are concerned, but talking from a career perspective I would suggest you to go for Amrita School of Engineering, Bangalore.

Hello Sir/Ma'am. It depends completely on you and your preferences. Few deciding factors would be campus, location, branch, feedback from seniors or alumni, the atmosphere that is suitable for you, reputation, placement statistics.

Coming to VIT, it has a so-called FFCS(Fully Flexible Credit System) which allows you to select your courses by your own in any semester provided you are done with its pre-requisite. You can choose your preferred professor and venue. It depends on you that how to take. It can either make your life or even break it!

The infrastructure is great. Faculties are okay. Some are extremely good but few are not that bad. The atmosphere is amazing! You get to meet a lot of new people after coming here. You can find students from every corner of India and many from abroad too.

Hello Sir/Ma'am. According to the list of top engineering colleges in India published by HRD ministry of India VIT stands at 13th position with all NITs except NIT Trichy (12th place) behind it.

So it is now official that VIT is better than all NITs except NIT Trichy.

If you are not getting an IIT or NIT Trichy or BITs Pilani then it is highly advisable to join VIT University.

But it is advisable to join VIT as you are getting the best course.

Hey Sanjeet,

According to your query, I will highly recommend you to get admission in VIT for CSE. Its really nice college in terms of study and acadamic growth . Here if you work hard then you will definitely grab very good opprtunities to develope confidence and leadership. Moreover, if you have skills then here you will get nice placements or exposure as the placement records of VIT is considered to be highest in one of the india's top colleges. And CSE branch gets highest package among all other branches. Hope you find it useful.

Thank you.

College Infrastructure

The infrastructure at VIT Chennai is exceptional, surpassing even that of many IITs and other private institutions. The air-conditioned hostels provide comfort, and the quality of food in the mess is commendable.

It was a pretty good experience.

College Infrastructure

It has pretty decent infrastructure. We have all the necessity amenities nearby, hence the infrastructure complements the busy student life of engineering. We have Domino's in the campus, also we have in campus gym and salon.
