Hey,

Based on the past record you have no chance with the other branches except for civil engineering. That is your last hope at vit chennai.however you can try your luck with the other branches like vit bhopal or ap.You have more chance of getting a seat there!you can possibly get a eee also! They are new campuses relatively their quality might not be as good as chennai or vellore ! However all tjis depends on what course you actually want.So try to get a good course like ece or civil .

Your other option is to try from other universities like srm or manipal. They are equally good butnot the best.Again depends on whether you have written their entrance exams.Try for bitsat also.

All  the best ,choose wisely based on your intrest and scope.See what you genuinely like instead of just doing engineering because i have seen many regreting after taking the wrong course.

Cheers!

hey

Your chances of getting into 4th or 5th ctaegory are high based on past stats.

It could change ,keep checking your counselling status.

But just keep a backup course in hand. With experience i can tell you that you are eligible for many courses like ece,eee ,civil and mechanical. So make a wise decision!

Cheers! :)

Hey loukik.

See in my point of view u should be going for IIIT PUNE as it is one of the good govt engineering college to pursue ur higher studies in the field of ur interest under btech courses. Manipal and VIT that too Chennai campus is not a good option in front of the IIIT as they are private Institution and also are not sure about ur good future as these govt colleges are.

Hope you got Ur point. Ask if any query. Good luck

Good Luck!

Hello Aspirant,

The cutoff varies every year depending on the factors such as No. of candidates appeared, Difficulty level of the exam, Performance of the candidates etc. So it is difficult to tell you exact about the admission possibilities. But based on this rank you might have the chance to get a seat in VIT Vellore for Mechanical Engineering.

You can check the counselling related information about VIT with the given below link.

Good Luck!

Hey aspirant,

Honestly with a rank of 19k, both vellore and chennai are done with their seats .

Based on the usual trend Cse at vit vellore closes by a rank of 5500 and at chennai it closes by 11k at the maximum. So your chances are minimal. However you are eligible for the other branches like Bioinformatics,ECE,EEE,Biotech  ,Civil and Chemical engineering . But if u still wish to pursue cse,You can always try for other universities like bits pilani, hyd ;srm (where it is relatively easier to get cse.)Or you can always try for state universities which have a good name.

It is your decidion to make! All the best and good luck for your engineering life!

Cheers!

You can always opt for migrating to CSE once you choose these courses. So it is your decision to make :)

Your chances of getting into ece at vit chennai is way more. You are easily eligible at the first category.

You go to the counselling ,you will find a huge screen which tell you how many seats will be available.Based on past records,I an tell you that you are  definitely eligible to get ece at the first category, the craze for cse has risen this time,so people who consider that they have done badly in their jee mains land up a seat at vit chennai or vellore for cse.

The other possibility is that you have other branches like eee which is exquisite in vit chennai. One of the best branches in vit are eee and cse,Unfortunately you are not eligible for cse but however you can take up eee and learn a lot. This also depends on whether you like the subjects but i can promise you that the faculty will take great care of you.

My personal advice would be for you to take up EEE at vit chennai because of how good it is in vit, chennai with few of the finest faculties. But the choice is yours buddy.Choose wisely.

You have other branches like civil and ecm which also you can consider. All this is based on your personal interest and scope.Again civil aint that good at vit, chennai.Consider taking ece or eee .in the long run you will have higher chances!

Cheers!

Yes,you do have a chance of getting into mechanical engineering.Based on past recors mechanical engineering closes by 50-60k. So you do stand a chance of getting into mechanical engineering.Worst cum worse you will get at category 5 ,if you're really interested ;go for it! :)

keep looking at the counselling status though.

All the best !

College Infrastructure

Our college has pretty solid infrastructure. The classrooms are spacious and have projectors. Labs are well equipped with the latest tools, especially in the computer and electronics departments. The library is really good has a wide range of books and enough space to study quietly. Wi-Fi is available across the campus and it's reliable most of the time. Sports facilities are decent with a basketball court, football ground, and indoor games area. The hostels are clean, and maintenance staff are usually quick to respond. The mess food is okay, not great, but hygienic. Overall, it’s a comfortable place to study and live.

Giving the review was quite a good experience.
