See the rank u have scored is enough for u to bag a seat both the campusses for pursuing ur higher studies in the field of ur interest under btech courses. For the Vellore campus u will be getting core branches and in the Chennai campus u will be getting CSE. U can also take the admission through the management quota.

Hello Harshada,

I am sorry to tell you that getting into VIT Chennai is difficult based on your rank.So you may look for other alternative options.There are several private universities and state level exams.You may apply for it.In case if you have written SRMJEE,MET,JEE Mains or similar exam and if you have a better rank there you may go for these universities since they have a good standard.

I got 85.4 percentile in JEE main and 527/600 in HSC. Will I get CSE in SASTRA university

Hello nivethaa, the criteria for SASTRA University is as follows-
Through stream 1:

Admissions to 70% of the seats will be made through stream 1 on the basis of JEE Main scores and normalized scores of the 10+2 or equivalent exam.

The 25% weightage will be given to JEE Main scores and the remaining 75% will be given to marks scored in 10+2 or equivalent examination.

The combined scores will be used to prepare the rank list and candidates will be invited for admission on the basis of the rank list.

Through stream 2:

The remaining 30% of the seats will be filled through stream 2

Only 10+2 (or equivalent) normalized scores will be considered while preparing the rank list of stream 2.

You have an good 10+2 score which will definitely help you in your admission and you have a good chance of getting into SASTRA University.

Hi Kaushik.No you donot have chance of getting a seat in VIT chennai.You can get it in vit ap or vit bhopal.But there is another way to get seat in vit chennai.That is through management quota.By this you can get your desired seat in your desired branch.For this management quota you should pay donation and additionally regular fee every year.

Hello Ryan,

First of all get out of your thought to join Chandigarh university. They advertise a lot and make fool of students. You can think of the quality of college where students are admitted directly in CSE . Crowd is worst. No learning environment. Infrastructure is good. Faculty is very poor. Placements are pool placement. It is very competitive.

Rest jiit Noida Vs vit Chennai, both options are good . I suggest you to choose college nearer to your house. There is absolutely no difference in opportunities that get in both college except a few that can be neglected

I got 37690 rank in vit can i get electronics and communication engineering in vit chennai

Hi,
No, you can't get VIT Chennai at this rank. Because according to previous year's cutoff VIT Chennai ECE closing rank is 25k & almost upto this rank, vit takes admission in ECE. Many years the cutoffs are aslo higher than it & also cutoffs varies every year. But you can get electronics & computer engineering, civil, fashion technology etc at this rank.

You can aslo get streams like production, Biochemical & civil engineering at this rank in VIT VELLORE campus.

now i have registered for VIT bhopal university...phase counselling for my rank 115309..can i change into VIT chennai or vellore?

At this stage it might not be possible to change your preferences. However, you can consider dropping a mail to the college stating your issue and asking them for the required changes. In this case it would solely depend on the discretion of the college to if they can accomodate your request.

Hello,
No you won't get as seat in VIT any campus for IT. Actual all the seats get filled up at around 30k.

But if u are ready to give donation for getting a seat then you might get a seat. For that you have to go for the management quota in which you have to pay a one time fee of RS 3 lakh and also your yearly fees would be around 4.5 laks each year for four years.

I would rather suggest you to go for some other private engineering colleges like SRM, Sharda , Amity, Manipal etc. They are much worth than paying such huge amount of money.

College Infrastructure

The college infrastructure is really good. People with interest can easily learn new skills, get into new projects and get well versed in various tech skills. It is really a great place to start or boost ones knowledge. The infrastructure the college provides meets the International standards.

My overall college experience till now has been okaish.

College Infrastructure

The infrastructure at VIT Chennai is exceptional, surpassing even that of many IITs and other private institutions. The air-conditioned hostels provide comfort, and the quality of food in the mess is commendable.

It was a pretty good experience.

College Infrastructure

It has pretty decent infrastructure. We have all the necessity amenities nearby, hence the infrastructure complements the busy student life of engineering. We have Domino's in the campus, also we have in campus gym and salon.
