Wcc has a pleasant campus. It makes me calm and peaceful because whenever I'm bored during long lecture I used to sight seeing the plenty of trees through my class windows. Some buildings become aged which needs some upgrade
Our college faculty are generally supportive also strict . They introduce any programme and course to the current development related to the subject. Mainly free Coursera subscription for us benefitted us really well.
Placement are average. Not upto the mark for my expectations while entering the college. Before I entered the college they used to say Deloitte, cognizant, hcl such big companies came for placement but now I don't see any such companies, that makes me so sad
The WCC's campus environment is one of the biggest advantage of it !! There are so many auditorium and lecture halls to adapt various student capacities. One of my favourite would be Margaret moore auditorium with good air conditioning and a vintage look.
WCC has strong academic base, students here are consistent performers especially our department of Accounting and Finance. Our department and all other departments will compusarily conduct skill development programmes etc
Our College provides steady placement assistance by providing any skill enhancement programmes, career guidance programmes, training sessions and recruitment drives during our final year. I'm also excited and awaiting for these programmes.
Decent infrastructure in WCC and it provides a comfortable learning environment. The campus is spacious and filled with plants and trees. Since WCC is one of the oldest institution some building are also older. Chapel is the best and peaceful place in WCC
WCC's academic structure is suitable for all those who are willing to stay consistent in their studies. WCC is a credit based academic system. and it encourages us to maintain 85% attendance which is little difficult!!
Placements depend upon each department and our individual effort!! in our department Accounting & Finance usually yes bank , icici bank would come for placements. But WCC consistently works to improve students skills by providing guidance and training sessions
wcc has good campus infrastructure!! they keep on building something to make our college infrastructure updated. Rightnow also they are building a new block for Computer science department. Hostel facilities also good .
I surely recommend this college for academic purpose because all the faculty teaching method will be different but all teachers put their geniune effort to make us understand the concepts and they never hesitate to clear our doubts
Placements are good!!! Companies like icici, indian public school, sutherland visit our college for placements . when it comes to salary it ranges from 2 to 6 lakhs per annum. you can except mid level companies for this . most prolly salary offered for a b.com graduate at our college would be 15k
campus life would be great with culturals and all stuff!! But for an hostelite like me campus life would be worse except culturals because of the strict rules in the hostel like no orders can be placed, only dayout on sundays etc
Best infrastructure for a women's college.Women's Christian College provides all facilities like library , clean restrooms, well maintained blocks and classrooms. Our campus is so beautiful and greenery
The education quality is very good. I highly recommend for management related courses!! I'm not aware about the science departments. In my department all staffs are so friendly and easily approachable
I dont know detailly about the placement cell. It is said that there is about 70 - 80 % of the people are placed. But we should prepare our mind to adapt to any type of job because, it not that we could get job related to our course specialisation
Yes, the college has all the necessary infrastructure, facilities and equipments accordingly. All the facilities are available, well used and maintained (e.g. Smart boards, computer and IT labs, all science labs and research labs, etc.). All the spaces are cleaned daily and well mainted as it has a great garden and it's really greenery. The college has canteen and other food checkouts inside the college campus and are maintained as well.
I'm currently pursuing B.Com (Accounting and Finance) and why I chose this course because I wanted pursue CMA. The quality of teaching is really good and the professors of my department are really approachable. The curriculum is kinda updated and does not include all the recent developments in the field. Yes, the course is kinda making be job ready. It would be really nice, if they include more industrial and practical exposure, hands on practical knowledge and internships.
Since, I'm in my second year and not sure about the placements. Many well known and reputated companies do come for placements in our college but only a very few get selected and hired. The main reason would be lack of technical skills and communication skills. The college always encourages the students atleast to try out the placement interview to get an idea of it.
The fee varies from 60k to 105k according to the courses offered and the pursuing year. I don't think am I getting my mineys worth education because other colleges do offer these courses for a lesser amount, from what I have heard but the college gives a really good experience and exposure of all.
All of kind of sports are there and have a separate department for physical education. The college has basket ball court, cricket net and other indoor games. The college is located in chennai, nungambakkam and it can handle emergency situations as most of the sources available nearby and inside the college. There is an apollo shine ( clinic ) where the students and staff members can get treated or in case critical condition the required is done. There is an IOB brach bank and ATM aslo inside the college campus.
If the college include more skill based courses, internships, hands on practical exposure, practical course and communication skills, it would be really useful and helpful while we search for jobs. The college has spacious and big auditoriums where occasions takes place and cultural.
Yes,our college is having all the necessary infrastructure facilities in laboratories and classrooms.ventilated and clean classrooms, clean restrooms, air conditioner facilities in every laboratories, library, and projector facilities are also available.
I am studying B.com(Accounting and Finance) because I am very much interested in Accounts, the quality of teaching is really good.not only the syllabus but also they are upgrading our soft skills.we can enhance ur knowledge in various fields.our college is providing of opportunities for us to develop.
Since i'm at the second year so, I don't have any ideas very well about placement, but I have asked some of my seniors and I came to know that placements are good only for degrees of computer science, technology.but compared to them placements for our department is comparatively Average with a lowest salary package.
Compared to other colleges fees is really high we are paying around 50k to 60k per semester it's really a huge amount for the degree which we are studying.but still the quality of teaching is good.
We have a wonderful college campus with lot of trees, clean campus, proper infrastructure facilities, sick room facilities etc. Our staffs are easily approachable we can feel free to report our issues and immediate measures will be taken by them.
The college offers a well-maintained campus, qualified faculty, and a structured academic environment. It provides a satisfactory learning experience, though there is scope for improvement in placement opportunities.
The academic environment is structured and focused, with knowledgeable faculty and a well-designed curriculum that supports student learning and overall , fine choice for students seeking balanced education
The college provides placement support with training sessions and guidance. While opportunities are available, there is scope for improvement in the number of recruiters and overall placement outcomes.
Yes
Campus life is engaging and vibrant, offering a good balance between academics and extracurricular activities. The environment is friendly, with various events and clubs that enhance student experience.
The infrastructure of Wcc plays a significant role in shaping my experience. wcc has a lush green campus with well maintained buildings and spacious classroom. then library is one of the valuable resources with wide of collection and digital material. The presence of auditoriums like Lucy peabody auditorium and other seminar halls allows to conduct workshops, guest lecture, and any cultural & academic events.
Wcc is recognized for student clubs like rotaract, young indians, nss, eco club which plays crucial role in nurturing leadership, teamwork ,coordination , responsibility and creativity within us. In addition to these our college also provides literary clubs to explore our creativity through writing, reading and discussions.
even our faculties and seniors dont recommend us to go for a low paying job as a fresher. after getting good skills with pg it would be fine to go for a job. In wcc the average payscale you could expect for b.com would be 15k.
overall in wcc is worth the each penny you spend!! for b.com fees per year would be 1lakh but each semester fees will vary!!
Great experience!!!
