      College Infrastructure

The college infrastructure is good and well maintained. The classrooms are spacious and comfortable for students. The campus is suitable for studying. Classrooms are decent and Wifi connections are slow

      Academics

I am currently pursuing my degree because it helps me build knowledge and skills for my future career. Mostly course subjects are relating to the current developments which is happening in the world and it is useful.

      Placements

The quality of my college placement is average. Around 60 - 70 % of students get placed every year, and most offers are from small and medium companies. The average salary package is average. Need to improve the Placement opportunities.

      Value for Money

The course fee is around 1,00,000 per year. I feel that I am getting good value for money.

Wcc - quality education personal growth, positive experience

      Verified Review
      College Infrastructure

WCC's one of the strongest aspects is infrastructure as it is calm compared to many city colleges. The classroms are comfortableand suitable for learning. wcc also have well maintained lab facilities. the library is also vast which is very helpful for academic preparations.

      Academics

Faculty in most departments are friendly and supportive. Especially in our Department since Teachers are young and energetic. special mentions to our supportive HOD Dr.Elizabeth Ma'am she is the sweetest of all; she supports in all ways possible like encouraging us to go attend inter department and inter college events so that we gain good exposure. This motivates us not only to achieve in academics but also in extra curricular and co curricular.

      Placements

Placement opportunities are decent but depend on the department. commerce , management and computer courses receive better placements as compared to arts courses. But i would say that many students in our college prefer pursuing higher studies after graduation.

      College Infrastructure

Wcc is a well-known and reputed institution in Chennai. One standout feature of the college is its infrastructure. Our campus is spacious , green and peaceful. Wcc provides a calm atmosphere with plenty of trees, open spaces, well maintained buildings and equipped classrooms. The library is another highlight with large collection of books and journals.Overall the infrastructure is not high-end but meets students needs.

      Academics

Wcc has a strong reputation for quality teaching. I and my Fellowmates appreciate the supportive faculty members who are approachable and willing to guide us inside and outside the classroom. The syllabus is well-structured and regularly updated so that it matches the standards.

      Placements

Wcc plament cell works actively to bring companies from Various sector. Also students receive training sessions , workshops, mock interview for preparation of recruitment processes.Top companies visit our college but the number and variety depends upon the course. College Infrastructure

My experience with Women’s Christian College has been quite positive, as the college provides all the necessary infrastructure like Wi-Fi, smart classrooms, well-equipped labs, and a good library, and these facilities are regularly used and properly maintained. The campus environment is clean and comfortable, and the hostel and canteen ensure hygienic food and neat living spaces. What I really appreciate is that the college also offers many opportunities beyond academics, such as study abroad programs, internships, seminars, and various extracurricular activities, which help students grow both personally and professionally.

      Academics

The quality of teaching is really good, with supportive and experienced faculty who explain concepts clearly and encourage us to think critically. Yes, the curriculum is well updated and includes recent developments in the field, which helps us stay informed and relevant. Yes, what we study also makes us job-ready, as the course includes practical exposure, skill development, and opportunities like internships and seminars that prepare us for future careers.

      Placements

since I am part of the first batch of B.Com Corporate Secretaryship, we are not completely sure about the exact placement statistics yet, such as the percentage of students placed, highest or average salary packages, as our batch has not gone through the full placement process so far. However, the college has been very supportive and is actively preparing us for placements through training sessions, skill development programs, internships, and career guidance. From what we see with other courses, placements are generally good, and the process is handled smoothly by the college. Overall, even though we don’t have exact figures yet, the preparation and support we are receiving make us feel confident and ready for future opportunities.

      Value for Money

my course costs around ₹50,000 per semester, making it a 3-year program with a reasonable overall fee structure. Yes, I do feel that I am getting my money’s worth because the college provides good academic exposure along with various opportunities like internships, seminars, and extracurricular activities. The quality of teaching, campus facilities, and overall learning environment make it a worthwhile investment for my education and future career.

      Campus Life

Women’s Christian College has a beautiful and green campus that feels calm and student-friendly, making it a great place to study and spend time. One of the best features is the wide range of opportunities it offers, including clubs, cultural events, sports, seminars, and even semester abroad programs that give students valuable exposure. The students are friendly and diverse, the teachers are supportive and approachable, and the support staff are helpful in day-to-day campus life. The college is located in a well-connected and safe area, and overall it feels secure and capable of handling emergencies when needed. The only drawback I feel is the restriction on using mobile phones inside the campus, which can sometimes be inconvenient, but apart from that, the overall experience is really positive.

I'm currently pursuing my UG 2nd yr,B.com accounting and Finance In Wcc. WCC has good in Infrastructure , our campus is filled with so many plants and trees (Green campus) . To specifically mention i would say centenary block , Chapel , Bertha corfield auditorium has great infrastructure compared to other buildings in wcc.

      Academics

Academic wise in A&F Department has great exposure!! where we gain so much knowledge from Practical Workshops like Tote bag making , canva painting also guest speaker insights etc. when it comes curiculum our faculty members teach so well and that are well understood.

      Placements

since I'm a second year student, realistically i dont know about the how much package people are placed , and how many people are placed!! But through my seniors experience they said that there are many offerings but average package.

      Campus Life

If you get a good set of people around you... wcc gives good campus life , entertainment, academics , sports etc.

      College Infrastructure

Infrastructure: It's a vast campus, filled with lush greenery and a remarkably peaceful atmosphere. The campus is filled with nature, and it has Moth Day, celebrated on campus because many different moths are spotted. There are good facilities, of a projector, electricity, lift, etc. There are more than 4 auditoriums on the campus, which are quite spacious, and a few of them are completely air-conditioned too. Facilities: The classrooms are pretty big and can accommodate around 60-70 students at a time, but this also depends on which block the classroom is in. There are maintained laboratories and libraries. The library is huge and has a lot of informative books that students can borrow for a week. There is a basketball court, a tennis court, and a ground. About the hostel environment, it is quite spacious, but the students have a lot of restrictions on using Iron boxes, Induction stoves, etc. The hostelers find it difficult to get permission from the warden to hang out at college. WiFi is provided for the staff, and projectors are used by faculty to teach with PPT. They are also useful for students during presentations. Living spaces: The classrooms are not that clean since they are not cleaned or swept regularly. You could see a bunch of hair in the corner of the classroom. This college has a rule- students must not eat inside classrooms. The washrooms are also not that clean; only a few are clean. The food provided in the main canteen is pretty good, has a fruit juice shop, and the Hannah aunty's brownie is quite famous. The other canteen has packaged foods and snack items. But it's quite expensive at times.

      Academics

I'm studying B.Sc Psychology, because I found the subject to be very interesting, and I chose Women's Christian College, Chennai is because of its legacy in teaching Psychology very well. The faculty of the psychology self-financed batch is very efficient and understanding as teachers, and they give career-focused training here. They also provide us with a lot of opportunities like certificate courses, seminars, etc. The quality of teaching varies from department to department. For Psychology self-financed, I'd give 4.5 stars. From my experience, I'd say the curriculum here is well updated and the teachers are working efficiently to provide us with a lot of information. Once again, Yes! It makes you job-ready, especially if you make use of your opportunities wisely.

      Placements

The placements are good, and the students are also made career-ready with a special class, "Learning and Training".Not everyone gets placed since the number of vacancies also plays a role. Psychology does not have placements.

      Value for Money

The fees cost around 80-90k per year. Approx 40-45k per semester. But the fees differs in each department. I don't think that we are getting the money's worth because the separate books for subjects must be bought by us. For example, for the language subject the fees must paid separately to receive book. But the teaching is quite good in psychology's case. We only receive soft copies from our teachers and we are supposed to take print out of the required units.

      Campus Life

The campus is the best. So spacious and nature filled. Students get to engage in a lot of opportunities, that is one plus point because here the opportunities will always be overflowing! Be it cultural or academic based ones! The Psychology staffs are quite friendly, the staffs behavior differs form department to department. The location is very safe, even though its a busy area its safe. There is a medical attention room called "apollo shice is located in campus". Also the apollo hospital is very nearby to college. There is a committee solely created Against ragging which includes dean, other faculties and area police officer.

      College Infrastructure

The college provides you with pretty good infrastructure, in generally the campus is really beautiful and full of greenery and has a good environment to be around. The classrooms and other facilities are good as well, the library has a wide variety of books and is quite helpful. The college also has good sports facilities, and in general caters to people interested in sports. The area is also good you find decent hostels around area as well.

      Academics

The teachers are pretty nice as well, our department in general had good teachers. The course provides you with good knowledge of psychology and is one of the best in Chennai. The exams were conducted timely, and we were provided exposure to the field and job opportunities

      Placements

The placements are not bad either, most people do get placed in a decent place. Personally I did not sit for placements so I don't have any experience to share in that particular field. Also courses commerce courses do have better placements in comparison to humanities.

      Value for Money

I was part of the NRI category so I did pay slightly more in comparison, but the course provided me with everything I wanted to learn when it comes to psychology and related fields.

      Campus Life

WCC has a really good campus, its spacious and very beautiful. It also includes all the old architecture which adds to the beauty. The management is cooperative and personally never had a problem, but the website does sometimes act up so that's about all

Yes I feel it worth studying there . I pay 40000 per year and they give us the best education there. And the performance will be outstanding. Yes I feel that I'm getting my money worth because they provide me with many opportunities.

      Campus Life

My college is the best. It has many features, like certificate courses and so many extra curricular activities are also provided. Fine arts and sports are well developed. The campus is excellent and we can find many greens here and there with lovely sight pleasant to our eyes

Good college for arts and science

      College Infrastructure

Women's Christian College has a very good infrastructure spaced approximately around 20 acres of land with all green fresh environment. A very good college for both day scholars and residents. Very good classrooms, spacious, well lit and comfortably furnished. The labs are all equipped well to provide students with a hands on experience on their chosen field. A very spacious and peaceful library for reference...one can find books from both foreign and Indian authors, very well organised.

      Academics

I studied Nutrition and dietetics undergraduate course and I had a good exposure in all the fields of my course. We were encouraged to do a deep study for our projects and seminars. This enabled us to top our placements in either higher studies or in career. Currently I'm pursuing my higher education and what I have learnt in B.Sc has certainly proved to be helpful now. We were not only exposed to curriculum but were also encouraged to do Skill Based Courses (SKB) and Non-Major Electives (NME).

      Placements

Our college currently has 100+ placement tie-ups with major companies like Nestle, Britannia for food technology aspirants, top diet and sport counselling centres, also has placements in banking sectors, CGS, Cognizant and so on...The college has career guidance cell, where you can walk-in and talk freely about your career concerns and receive suitable advice. The college also has a system of recording student' achievements and updating them once in every semester, which is very useful for us.

      Value for Money

WCC offers both government-aided and self-finance courses. The annual fee may range between 20-25k for the former and 30-35k for the latter. I feel its really a worth to study here for all you get is knowledge and vast exposure in a very peaceful atmosphere and friendly teachers. You not only gain book knowledge but also practical knowledge.

      Campus Life

WCC has one of the most beautiful campuses with a variety of flora and chirping birds. The college is well kept and maintained. The hostel is the resident's paradise. I have not once heard a resident complaining about food or room. There are NCC, NSS, Rotaract, Eco-Club, 1 year of compulsory sport and also inter and intra college cultural programs every year. We can opt to study the final year in America or Britain by qualifying for transfer programs. Both Indian and international students study

A good college for persons who want to find who they are.

      College Infrastructure

My college has a very good infrastructure which includes Xerox shops, libraries, laboratories and a Green box which supplies fresh and healthy foods and the college has banned junk foods including chocolates and chips recently and it also has an atm machine to facilitate both hostellates and day scholars.

      Academics

I have chosen bca which is an computer oriented stream and my department has modified the syllabus 5 to 6 years back. And I think it's not up to the level when compared to today's advancements in computer field. And the management is currently in the process of modifying the syllabus which will benefit the upcoming students and they will have a better view about the subjects

      Placements

Currently I'm in 2nd year, usually students will get their placements by the final year. According to what I heard is that the placement process took place smoothly even though the number of companies which came are quiet less compared to other departments but most of the students are placed in.

      Value for Money

The cost of my course is rs. 55,000+ and I think it's quiet higher because my department has less staffs and have a single lab.The reason I felt this way is that there is no extra course materials to develop our knowledge and there is no means to tell us about the careers we have through this. I think they can reduce it to further more like atleast 6 or 7 thousand

      Campus Life

I love the college ambience surrounded by green environment and it has all the facilitates it needed. And the college have 6 to 7 clubs to enhance the students abilities and the location is safe and convenient. The main negative thing what I think is the limited time. As the blocks are placed far away, we have to rush in every hour before the attendence.

      Others

I love this college personally and it also have some strict rules which annoys you sometimes. I would recommend this college if you can tolerate all this rules.
