It will be touch and go looking at previous year cutoffs.

In 2018, the cutoff for CSE in BITS Hyderabad was 334.

In 2017, the cutoff was 339.

In 2016, the cutoff was 347.

In 2015, the cutoff was 339.

In 2014, the cutoff was 329.

But, according to the trend, the cutoff has been higher so you might have a good chance.

As far as the undergraduate courses in BITS PILANI- HYDERABAD campus are concerned, there is no structure of a department called Optometry which you can get through their entrance examination which is known as BITSAT.

Well one way to look into the question is that NIT is a government institution whereas institutions like BITS Pilani- Hyderabad campus, is a private institution. Package is more or less the same it all depends on your skillsets and your efforts and sincerity.

B.Pharma is that department in BITS which you can get even if you fail to get a commendable score in BITSAT.

In BITS-Pilani the B.Pharma closes at around 220-230 marks

On the other hand, in Hyderabad campus, it can go as low as 170-180 marks as well.

Considering that the course would cost 8 lacs, it is not worthy. The placement scenario is not upto the mark. Few or no placements are being alloted. The teaching is not satisfactory. Not blaming the college, the need for thermal engineers in the society is less. Most of the companies, having lesser need for thermal engineers, would opt candidates from IITs, NITs.

Actually you can safely withdraw your application from VIT, Vellore and your scores are sufficient to get you any branch of Engineering in the BITS Pilani. The cutoffs for almost all the courses there except manufacturing lie above 280 so you can definitely get it. Moreover not everyone who appears for BITSAT takes admission in BIT so you can go with your plan.

According to the previous year trends in the cutoff, with 278 marks in BITSAT, you have a fair chance of getting admission in B.E. Civil and Mechanical at Bits Hyderabad. Apart from these single degrees, you can also get a seat in the integrated M.Sc. courses offered by the college. Therein, you can get any M.Sc. except Economics. If you wish to go for B.Pharma., you can easily get a seat for the same. Moreover, you have many options ahead of you with these marks, but you also need to qualify their eligibility criteria which asks for the candidate to score a minimum of 75% aggregate in PCM of your 12th board or equivalent exam. Sorry but that score is too less for you to get admission into BITS Pilani or any of their sister campuses.Their cutoff is increasing every year as more and more number of students are now preferring BITS. In 2018,the cutoff score for Electrical engineering at Pilani campus was 338. For more details on the cutoffs,you may refer the link below

Hey there!!!!!   Based on your score getting mechanical or electronics or electrical in any of the BITS is not possible. The minimum score to get any one of your preferences is 275 for mechanical at BITS Hyderabad campus. In BITS Pilani, the admission process of the institute always ensured admission to all first rank holders in their respective board examinations. Like every year, in 2015 also the institute will give admission to first rank students, irrespective of their BITSAT 2015 marks. The only condition here is the candidate should have scored the minimum of 75% aggregate marks in PCM/PCB subjects with at least 60% in each of the PCM/PCB subjects in their Class 12th examination.

Additionally, the rank holder should be from science stream and should have studied Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics/Biology subjects in 12th examination. The aggregate score should contain the Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics/Biology subjects, in addition to other subjects required for qualifying Class 12th examination.
