Hey,
According to previous years cutoffs (2020 & 2021) it might be difficult for you to get a seat into one of these dual degree program as the cutoffs for these programs start from 240. However you might have a chance of getting a seat into B.Pharm at Pilani and Hyderabad campus.
Hope this helps.
All the best!
Hi student,
If we look at the previous cutoffs of BITS MESRA, Ranchi for 4-year B.E/B.TECH course, it is difficult to get any thing at your specified rank, as because cutoffs for all the courses closed at around 70k-75k even if we talk about CSE, mechanical engineering or any other course. The highest rank closed in the 6th round was 77435 in BIO-TECHNOLOGY course from JEE-MAINS 2021.
Still you can get a course in the special round in BIO-TECHNOLOGY, CHEMICAL ENGINEERING, CIVIL ENGINEERING or PRODUCTION AND INDUSTRIAL ENGINEERING whose ranks closed at around 200k in the upper limit.

Bits placement percentage is 80%. The average salary package is 3.5 lacs per annum whereas the highest salary package is 10 lacs per annum. There are more than 20 companies which visit the bits for recruiting deserving students. Krishna Engineers, Siddharth Construction, Hindustan Petroleum, HCL and byju's are some of the top recruiters of bits students. Besides this bits also provides internship opportunities to the students. The internship percentage of the institute is also 80%.
Greetings!
Sir, at 255 marks it is not going to be possible for your son to get CSE or Electronics in BITS, so your best bet is going to NITs and IIITs.
In NITs or IIITs, now considering about 10K rank and that you belong to general, category, your son should be able to get ECE in SVNIT, or NITs that rank around it.
In IIITs you can get IIIT Guwahati/Lucknow CSE, or IIITs of similar range.
Now the thing that you need to know is that in case of IIITs/NITs sometimes a lot depends on home state quota too, so if your native state has a really good NIT/IIIT then you must also try there, for example if you are a resident of Delhi, then you have really good chance of getting CSE related courses in IIIT Delhi, which is a much better than mentioned options, as I have not considered any reservations whatsoever.
To get a more knowledge on which colleges your son can get, you can use the following predictor

Hello Aspirant,
As we go through the latest cut-offs of JEE-Main 2021 of JOSAA 6th round then it shows that the closing ST rank for CSE in Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra, Ranchi in 2021 was around 1.3k so with the mentioned ST rank you have NO chances to get CSE in Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra, Ranchi .
You can check out the latest cut-offs from the link given below :-

Good Luck!!
See if you are targeting for a Management course later in your life like an MBA, then more than your branch the brand of your college matters more. The best colleges out there should be your preference, so the order according to me is:
BITS Goa
BITS Hyderabad
NIT Surat
NIT Allahabad
NIT Calicut
NIT Nagpur

Hope I have answered your question. All the best!
Greetings!
See if you have LNMIIT and BITS goa as an option, Manipal Jaipur and North eastern NITs fall out the question instantly.
I would say LNMIIT and BITS are really only two practical options, now from both those it is a tough call, I can list down pros and cons for you, but you are the one who has to take call...
See BITS Goa will certainly have a much better college life, however at the same time it going to be more expensive.
Coming to placements it will depend on your branch in BITS, like in dual degree your other Btech branch is decided upon your performance in first year. So if you manage to get CSE in BITS, it is certainly going to be better than LNMIIT. If you get ECE it will be slightly better, if you get other branches I would say LNMIIT would fair better.
In the end I would say both are really good options you can pick anyone.

Dear Aspirant,
If you don't have a lot of choices then yes, BITS Dubai is a good option.
Generally, according to the alumni reviews, BITS Dubai's standards is not close to Pilani or Hyderabad. The faculties and coursework isn't that great. You'll have to spend a lot of money for travel, fee and living.
Hence, given all these points we can say that it isn't that great a choice . But, at the end of your degree you will get the BITS brand name.
If you are getting a good private college in India like LPU, Thapar, SRM, Amrita, VIT, SASTRA, please do go for it.
If you choose BITS Dubai, make sure you work hard and go out of your way to get lucrative internship experiences.
Hope this helps.
The college is well equipped, have best of infrastructure and amazing labs and workshops. The food points carter to everyone’s tastes and are open late night. The overall infrastructure of BITS pilani is good.
The newer hostels boast better facilities and infrastructure than the ones which were constructed during the initial years of the college. The mess food is of acceptable quality, but it misses out on a lot of variety, and the menu feel quite repetitive after a few weeks. Library is huge, and the medical center has all the facilities that a medical clinic provides.
It has good infrastructure, featuring modern amenities like well-equipped labs, spacious classes with multimedia facilities, and a comprehensive library stocked with relevant resources. Regarding hostel facilities, the quality is satisfactory, with clean living space.
