As for the EWS candidate your cutoff will be almost equal to OBC.

For coep you need min 97.5% for OBC for lower branches in score more than 145.

For EE/ ME/CE you need 98.3+%.

For CS/EC you need 99+% .

Yes, the production branch in COEP is a very good branch academically as well as placement wise. The students pursuing Production in COEP are getting placed in good companies with good CTC. Every other aspects in this branch is good, so there will not be an issue for you if you choose Production in COEP. If it is your interest subject too, then that's well and good. Dear candidate out of two options which makes it tuff for you to decide, NIT Surat is a very good college and M.Sc Physics curriculum is also nicely taught, but considering the future prospects I would suggest you to choose Metallurgy and Materials Science over this as the placement trends in College of Engineering,Pune is much better. The infrastructure is well established, labs are well equipped, Faculties of Metallurgy branch are extremely qualified. So overall your experience would be great, as a starting package the companies would offer you 6-8 LPA.

According to your quarries Electronics and Computer Engineering in PES Modern College of Engineering in Pune is overall good and the placements,faculties are also good .Placements for Computer science engineering is decent with 70% placements and average package of 3.1lpa for freashers.  Many top recruiting companies like as  tata consultant service, Amazon,  Wipro, Infosys , etc. come here and offered roles as technical engineer, programmer, programming testing.

let us compare both integrated cources in physics.

Firstly courses at both the institutes are full time and will have duration of 5 years. Total fees in NIT Surat will be approx 3.65 lakhs for 5 years and other side in BIT Mesra it is 6.95 lakh for 5 years.

Eligibility in NIT is 12th with 75% and in BIT is 12th with 60%. You can also get admission in NIT by clearing JEE Main exam.

Looking at the ratings of overall institute i would like to give NIT Surat 4.0/5.0 and 3.3/5.0 to the BIT Mesra.

The cutoff is generally above 98 percentile for core branches so can try out but also try out for other government colleges in which you can getvyour desired branch.Some good college which you can get are listed below.
