Hello,

There is a 15% All India Quota for Engineering admissions in colleges of Maharashtra state which accepts JEE Mains score. however this quota is only for unaided colleges.

COEP is a Government Aided college and so you cannot apply through JEE mains.100% seats at COEP are reserved for candidates who are taking admission through MHT-CET exam ,which is state level engineering entrance exam of Maharashtra.

You can use the JEE Main college predictor link given below to predict which college you can get through your JEE Mains rank .

Hello student,

I am sorry to inform you that your chances of admission in COEP or VJTI are quite negligible even if you are a category student. There are still chance in VJTI if you compromise your branch and also try for the spot round in VJTI college.

However, there are still many good colleges that you may get admission on the basis of your current scores and your leverage would be you caste category.

Here is a list of some of the top colleges that you may get:

  • DY Patil College of Engineering
  • DY Patil International University
  • Sinhagad College of Engineering
  • Ferguson College
  • All India Shri Shivaji Memorial Society Institute of Information Technology
  • GH Raisoni College of Engineering
  • Atharva College of Engineering
  • AP Shah Institute of Technology
  • Terna College of Engineering
  • Vishwakarma University

Hello student,

Congratulations for scoring such great marks in MHTCET examination. Mostly admissions and cutoffs are based on the percentile scores of the students. However, predicting MHTCET percentile on this basis is very difficult as it depends on various factors such as shift and subjectwise difficulty, number of students appearing for the shift, etc. Even then, I estimate that your percentile would be around 83 -90 percentile on the previous years marks vs percentile analysis. With this percentile, you have good chances to secure admissions in the top colleges. Moreover, as you are a category student, your chances of getting admission in the top colleges increases more. However, you still dont have chances to secure admission in COEP CS. Still, maybe you can get admission in other top colleges with this percentile and your category advantage.

Some of the top colleges are:

  • DY Patil College of Engineering
  • Vishwakarma University
  • GH Raisoni College of Engineering
  • Terna College of Engineering
  • Ramrao Adik College of Engineering
  • PES Modern College of Engineering
  • Ramdeobaba College of Engineering

Dear aspirant,

Yes, College of Engineering Pune does accept JEE mains score for admission in B. Tech course. 15% seats are reserved in All India quota for admission through JEE mains and rest through MHT CET.

Hopefully this will help you.
Thank you.

Hi aspirant, since you have mentioned your 4300 rank so if I consider your this rank as your general rank so if it is so then there are high chances that you may get admission in College of Engineering Pune may be you not get CSE branch over there otherwise you can get any branch in the institute without any problem.

Thank You.

Hello Aspirant! According to your percentile, your expected rank would be around 2.9 lakh something. But sadly COEP Pune doesn't take admission through JEE Mains but only through MHT-CET. It totally depends on the marks obtained in MHT-CET examination and not JEE Main examination. It was an exception only in the year 2020 in which it took admission of 15% students through JEE Mains. So yeah you can't apply for the same.
You can try for some other private colleges like:
Brainway University
Quantum University
Chandigarh University
Graphic Era
UPES, Dehradun
etc.

Hello Mangesh,

Hope you are doing good.

Well, 68 percentile is a good score for you as you have more preferences than other categories since you belong to SC category.

The counseling for coep is conducted by DTE maharashtra. Admission to BTech programme in COEP is based on MHT CET score, followed by MHT CET Counselling,

For male candidates,

Cut off marks is around 1 2k-14k

For female candidates,

CuT off marks is around 12k-22k

However this cutoff is not so accurate ,it depends on some factors, which has a fluctuating graph year to year.

For COEP refer to the link below:

With a 60-70 percentile in JEE Main 2021, you can get admission to popular B.Tech colleges. The applicants must score a minimum of 50% of marks in Class 12th to be eligible for the admission process. If required, the candidates may be also required to clear the institute-level entrance exam.

There are many institute that take admission within 60-70 percentile:

  • LPU, Phagwara - 1.2 lp semester
  • NIMS, Jaipur - 60k p.a
  • Chandigarh University, Chandigarh- 2.1 lakh per semester
  • Xavier University, Bhubaneswar- 1.01 lakh per semester
  • Brainware University, kolkata- upto 1 lakh per semester
  • SVIET, chandigarh- 89k p.a
  • KIIT University, Bhubaneswar- 1.5 lpa
  • And many more are there but these are best of them.
