Greetings,

As far as reputation and ranking is concerned, COEP is arguably better than NIT Srinagar.

There are a few factors for such things:

- College establishment and ranking

- Infrastructure

- Academics and faculty

- Placements and internships

- College culture and diversity

COEP:

- very well established (one of the oldest Engineering colleges in India)

- Placements are great (approx. 7 lacs per annum avg. salary offered for SCE branch in 2019)

- Ranking wise, COEP is better than NIT Srinagar if you exclude the allure of the NIT tag

- College culture is far better than Srinagar with more diversity, a big city experience and many events to look forward to.

NIT Srinagar:

- It commands a natural respect being an NIT

- Placements are great with avg. packages for most core branches ranging around 8 lacs per annum.

- As far as college culture is concerned, things are a bit lacking as NIT Srinagar is not much of an active participating college in national events.

Hope it helps,

Good day!

Hello,

By taking previous year cutoff trends into consideration, the closing cutoff by score in COEP, for B. Tech in Computer Engineering is 179 in round 1.  And in round 2 the closing cutoff by score is 177. Similarly for round 3 is 176. So based on this data, you can have good chances to get Computer Engineering in this college.

Hi Pradnesh

179 is really good score with this score you have chances of getting seat in COEP .

Although cut off varies every year, depending upon no of students appearing, qualifying, no of seats available, last year's trends, difficulty level of exam and so on.

You have chances of getting seat.

Previous year's cut off

Civil: 156 score

CS: 179

Electrical engineering: 169

Electronics and telecommunications: 170

So cut off keeps changing every year.

The labs and their corresponding equipment are of the highest quality and majority of the faculty are experienced professionals. Classrooms are mediocre in terms of design and comfort as is the WiFi network. Libraries and sports facilities are good. Canteen is clean and hygienic however the Boat Club canteen could do with some work.

Best Engineering College Ever

The College of Engineering Pune is very prestigious for its impressive infrastructure, which basically enhances the student experience on the campus. Classrooms are also well equipped with the Projectors, digital learning tools and also are very spacious.
