As you didn't mention the course name I am comparing it for the computer science and engineering course if you are asking for BITS pilani campus then you should know that BITS is a  private college while COEP is an autonomous college comes under  the ownership of public/ government.
NIRF rank of BITS is 25 while for  COEP it is 71 ,BITS has NAAC 'A' accreditation while COEP do not have , mob is good in BITS, students generally prefer this , and facilities are more in BITS in comparison of COEP , overall I would say BITS pilani is dominant over COEP in aspect of education and facilities.

The admission in College of Engineering, Pune is based on merit in MHT CET.And the cut off was as follows for each category for admission in Civil Engineering

• General: 1255
• OBC: 1866
• SC: 5571
• ST: 15858
• SEBC: 2364
• NT1 : 2190
• NT2: 1456
• NT 3: 1439

However, cut off is subjected to change it may increase or decrease slightly.

• COEP- Admission process in COEP is done only on the basis of your score in MHT-CET(Maharastra Entrance test). So, you cannot get a seat on your JEE MAINS Score.
• PICT- Admission process in PICT is done on the basis of your score either in JEE MAINS or MHT-CET and 12th board exam.

Hello student student college of engineering pune not offer diploma course at undergraduate level.
COEP offer diploma course at postgraduate level in streams :-
1)PGD in additive manufacturing
Course duration 1 year
Total fees - 1.06 lakhs
2)PGD in enterprise resource planning
Course duration 1 year
Total fees - 3.73 lakhs.

Candidates will be admitted on the basis of interview with the selection committee/authority.

Fee structure of COEP college is little expensive . The fees for undergraduate courses for general category is about INR 90,000 per year and for OBC , it is about INR 50,000 per year whereas for post graduate courses , the fee structure is about INR 1,15,000 per year which is little expensive.
