It is not necessary for you to study only in IIST to get into ISRO. You can get a job at ISRO with a degree feom other colleges too. If you are passionate and talented enough to get into IIST then you can get into ISRO through campus placements.

IISC is the best. However, getting admitted there is damn too difficult whereas there are only five IIT’s that provide aerospace engineering program - IIT Bombay, IIT Kharagpur, IIT Madras and IIT Kanpur, which shows odds are less. In IIST many of the professors got there PhD from IISC.
