IIST B.Tech Cutoff 2021 - Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology will release IIST B.Tech 2021 cutoff in online mode at the official website. The minimum scores that candidates have to secure for admissions will constitute the cutoff of IIST B.Tech 2021.

Hello Gunjan,

Hope you are great.

As you said like getting into ISRO is your dream and you have not cracked it this time. Entering into ISRO through ICRB is much difficult compared to IIST. If you have the confidence that you can make it with a try in JEE 2022 then I suggest you to take a long term and prepare for it.

If you are feeling like you can crack it after completing your B.tech then take an admission and join the college. Confidence is the main asset. Let me give a clear process of Entering into ISRO by ICRB and IIST :

Going through IIST :

  • If you clear the JEE Advanced cut-off of IIST and get an admission.
  • Complete your B.tech course with CGPA more than 7.5
  • They will directly recruit you without any other interviews.

Through ICRB :

  • Fill an application form.
  • Appear for ICRB written test in their allocated centers.
  • When you clear the exam, you will get a call for interview.
  • You can check the shortlisted candidates, whether you have cleared it or not.
  • If yes, Your job at ISRO is confirmed.

Hope this answers clears your doubt..

MODE OF ADMISSION :

It is a two-step process. One needs to qualify the JEE (Main) exam and then take the JEE (Advanced) exam.

One must separately apply for IIST Counselling. Admissions are based on the aggregate marks scored in JEE (Advanced).

Generally the closing cutoff percentage for aerospace engineering at IIST Thiruvananthapuram is around 29.5% - 30% as per the previous year trends.

This is the percentage of marks in jee Advanced exam.

Hi,

11th Standard is not that Late to start prepare for JEE. You can very well Start your preparation now. For JEE Mains , you should Focus on Text books like NCERT and previous year Papers. JEE Advanced has more depth in syllabus than JEE Mains. Most of the state boards has similar syllabus what is required for JEE Mains. If you clear you concepts in syllabus of XI and XII, then you can very well get good rank in JEE Mains.

I hope this will answer your query.

Thanks!!!!

Hello,

I've seen many students who crack jee mains with state syllabus, they keep their basics clear, practice alot.

If you are in 11th standard use ncert syllabus books for reference, it'll be easy for you at the time of exams. If any topic is completed in your board syllabus refer to same topic from ncert.

If you're board syllabus is clear you can go for ncert books. If you join any coaching classes it'll also a good options as they provide all the material according to syllabus and updated one.

If you want to join top IITs or IIST colleges your rank should be in top. Join any academy or if you want to self study refer good books. Practice mcqs mock tests.

Hope it helps.. Best luck!!

Dear aspirant,

It can't be decided on the basis of marks since marks vs rank statistics change every year depending on the level of difficulty.

If your jee adv rank is below 8000 then ur surely get seat .This year rank fall down to 9500 i guess since lots of seats left vacant after final round and then they did spot round admission .

But on being safer side try to get below 8000.All the best for your exam.

Hopefully this will help you.
Thank you.

Hello there, aspirant

For astrophysics, IISER only accepts BS-MS on the basis of JEE advanced, KVPY, and SCB.

It accepts PhD applicants through the GATE/JEST test.

Check out the Indian Institute of Astrophysics if you wish to pursue a master's degree in astrophysics.

IISER only accepts students who have completed a BS-MS programme at their institution.

I hope this information is useful.

All the best.

IIST and IIT K, B, KGP, Madras rank among the best Aerospace Colleges in India at Undergraduate Level. However, IIST has a much lower Tuition Fee compared to IITs. For more information about The best Aerospace Colleges in India with the Total Fees and Eligibility mentioned in details do follow the link below

See if you want to go for the ISRO then it would be better for you to go for IIST the reason behind it is because if you score above 8.5 in your UG course in IIST you get a chance to get directly placed in ISRO. Now NASA have a separate procedure and one have to apply corresponding to the vacancy created there. So if you have the passion to go direct in ISRO then go for IIST. Now if you wish to go for IIT then IIT KANPUR have the best infrastructure and the faculties for Aerospace Engineering. The sequence is followed by IIT KGP, IIT B etc. But this doesn't give you a certainty to get job in ISRO but you can go for ISRO based on the ICRB entrance.
