    Course Overview

The Rural Water Resource Management training is a 12 weeks online program. The syllabus for the course is available on the Swayam platform and was chosen and created by IIT Bombay. The Indian Institute of Management and NPTEL are the organisations that award the course certificate.

Because most industries require water and India remains primarily an agricultural country, water is the most valuable resource in the country. India is the nation that extracts the most groundwater globally; hence, it is crucial to understand the issues and challenges associated with water resources so that efforts for water resources management can be established and evaluated using scientific methods.

To understand the real problems and how to handle, cope with, and reduce them, students need specialized teaching in water management. Effective water management is essential to achieving development goals, growing India's economy, and protecting the country from the worst effects of climate change. Prof. Pennan Chinna Samy explains this course.
