Unlessyou have special interset in electrical i would prefer iit bombay.
There are many advantages. IITB has more better and flexible academics, it has more options in placements, location wise also IITB is much better than IITM. It has weather advantage too, IITB's culture is mature , there is nothing like girls and boys there. You can do whatever you want but you should not violate the rules. And many more.
So i would prefer IITB over IITM.
Thank you.

Hello gautam,
Well it is a very subjective question , both branches are entirely different we cannot compare them, you should go with the branch which interests you more thats the sole criteria to determine, since these courses you wish to pursue are at IIT Madras both have good placement records , interships opportunities etc you will have to decide which interets you more whether its understanding the working mechanisms of heavy tools and machineries, dealing with construction, design, and manufacture of machines or studying applications of physical sciences, life sciences, together with applied mathematics and economics to produce, transform, transport, and properly use chemicals, materials and energy for chemical engg.
Hope this helps
Hello sharanesh, hope you are doing well .. well both the courses are very good! But as i researched i would suggest you to go for the electrical dual course from iit bombay as many of the companies choose to select the candidate with the dual year course.. if you are planning to do MS or mba then only for iit madras for electrical enginerring..
