Information Security-3 certification by NPTEL is the third in the series of Information Security series.

This certification course duration is three-month which is eight weeks of learning. Information Security-3 training involves getting hands-on experience in server and network administration-related concepts, expanding and developing their skills and knowledge. The certification course provides three types of certificates to the students such as Gold, Elite, and Completed based on their performance.

Certification Qualifying Details

Information Security-3 certificate are of three types such as Gold, Elite, and Completed Certificate. Students who score more than 90 will be eligible for the Elite and Gold Certificate, for the 60-89 score, the students will receive an Elite certificate and, a 40-59 Completed certificate and students who score below 40 will not receive any certificate.

Once Information Security-3 certification syllabus is completed, students are equipped with the relevant skills and knowledge in the server and network administration field. They will gain in-depth knowledge and understanding of Linux and system administration and structure of the internet.

After Information Security-3 class the students will also explore and gain hands-on experience in practising sample shell scripts, looping the syntaxes in the shell script, managing the file systems, basic commands and file handling commands, and Standard I/O.

The candidates are required to qualify with the minimum score of 10 out of 25 percent in the assignment and 30 out of 75 percent in the final examination.
