Hello,

As you have mentioned that your jee mains ranks is 97.017 which indeed is very high to get a seat in any of the NITs or IIITs or GFTIs... But you haven't mentioned your category. Nevertheless, if you fall under general category then your chances to get a seat are almost negligible.. But if you fall under reserved category then you might be lucky if you get a seat with some decent chances..... See, its really very difficult to predict the cutoff... But the csab special round iis held to fill the vacant seats for NITs, IIITs and GFITs. So, its cutoff goes somewhat higher (rank wise)... Maybe you get a seat or maybe not !!!!!
But honestly speaking, with this rank its very difficult to get a seat in the csab special round...

I hope this would help you. For further queries please feel free to write me down in the comment box.

Dear aspirant your rank and percentile is not that good to get nit. You may get nit sikkim, Mizoram, Manipur and Nagaland in the 2 special rounds only if seats are available. Chances are very low though. Try for gftis also though chances there are also low

Hello aspirant!! With this rank I don't think you can get a seat in any IIITs. You can get a seat in CSAB counselling under any reservation quota if you hold some category rank. Hope this helps you!!

Hello aspirant!! Since you have not got seat in Round 7 of JOSAA Counselling, the probability of getting into NITs, IIITs and GFTI is almost zero. Because after JOSAA Counselling, CSAB conducts counselling and in this only private institutes take part. So you can have seat in private institutes.

Hope this helps!!

Hi,

Among the two options, I would suggest you to go for IIIT Nagpur since it's CSE that you are getting. Both these colleges are comparatively new but agave prolific faculty and hence one can expect good placements too. As a branch, CSE obviously has more scope for the job market which is why most people prefer the stream. However, if Electronics interests you more, you can go for it since the institute is equally good.

Take a final call based on priorities like course, location, placements etc.

All the best!

Hi Vishal,

Both of these colleges are really good. The infrastructure, faculty and placements are great for CSE. However, I would suggest you LNMIIT due to a better location and it is improving in its standards. Jaipur would give you better opportunities for internships. The final choice should be taken by you on weighing all priorities.

All the best!

Hello,

IIIT Raichur is one of the new IIIT's established in India by MHRD, government of India. It will be starting its first batch of B. Tech in computer science and engineering in the first week of August 2019.

As the mentor institute, IIT HYDERABAD will facilitate the functioning of IIIT Raichur in IIT Hyderabad campus itself.

Until the infrastructure of IIIT Raichur is ready the classes will be done in the campus of IIT hyderabad itself.

We can't tell how many exact years are required for the shifting of college.

Good luck!

Hope this information helps.

Hi,

If you want to give up your seat from the college after 1 or 2 months then you will get only a meagre amount of money as refund and for that also you will have to give a valid reaason for it. So if it were me in place of you then I would not have even thought of taking back my admission becuase getting a better college than an NIT or IIIT is very difficult.

I hope I was able to clear your query

I leave the decision upto you

Best Of lUck

Dear Darisipudi,

I will explain to you IIIT Manipur in all aspects:

  • College: it is started in 2015. So it's a new college. You will not get to enjoy college life.
  • City: Imphal is not a city for college students. There is no mall to enjoy. No place for students. Not a single park near a college where college students used to go in the evening. In the hostel no shops and canteen at night.
  • Faculty: 50% of faculty are holding a Ph.D. from IIT Guwahati. 3 good faculty in ECE out of 5, 1 good faculty in CSE out of 5. One faculty in CSE hold post-doc degree from NUS Singapore. None of the mathematics faculty is good. Mathematics faculty are normal BSC MSC Ph.D. from the normal university of Guwahati. Only one faculty for physics and chemistry he is average good. One faculty for NSS he is good.
  • Students: most of the students are preparing for GATethrough YouTube lectures as not a good placement scene in college. Teachers are not teaching well so students are doing self-effort nicely here. This is one advantage of this college. You will learn how to read tough things on your own.
  • Life: you will not get a feeling of studying in a college here. You will simply go to attend class and come to the hostel. In the evening you may go to mantripukhri bazar to eat pakora.
  • Weekends: no cinema hall. No shopping mall. In the afternoon you can go to a chicken shop to pack chicken to eat with rice at lunch. In the afternoon most of them will sleep. Rarely a few days students will play sports. In the evening again u will eat pakora.
  • Academics: you will get a regular class it's good here. The teacher will give u plenty of assignments. If you take this assignment seriously then you can grow.
  • Strength: in the third year 23 students are studying, in 2nd year 43 students are there and in 3rd year 66 students are there. Around 60% of seats go vacant every year after jee main counseling. On vacant seat they take many students in open counselling of rank around 1 to 3 lakh.

Summary: yes above points conclude that IIIT Manipur is below average college. Good thing is that you will get a degree of IIIT from here.

Best Wishes!

College Infrastructure

As a third year B-tech student i have spent two years on campus and want to share my honest experience. Our college boasts a spacious and well maintained campus spread across around 30 acres. The main academic block are clean and fully functional with essential labs and new tech ,modern classrooms equipped with projectors and comfort seating there are also designated seminar halls and conference rooms on the ground floor of academic block. The academic block is mainly divided into 3 blocks, Block A, B and C including a very large and useful library in B block. Hostels are very close to academic block most of the hostel blocks consist of 9 floors each floor consists of 7 rooms with 6 three student rooms and 1 four student room. there is also single room hostels from second year but limited entries depending on CGPA of students. Hostel Mess is inside the hostel in ground and 1st floors. There is also a college canteen, Nescafe outlet (functioning up to 2 am ) and a stationary store inside campus. Whole campus including hostels is equipped with high speed WIFI up to a speed of 350mbps. The campus and hostels are maintained clean and tidy .Food is not the best and non native students find it difficult to maintain but there are other options plenty because mess fee is weekly and optional.

Overall college life here is not too much but good.
