hey ravi
kindly mention your crl rank as well as it is difficult to predict your rank from your percentile .however you have very less to get any nit or iiit or gftis but the i think you should have already seen the josaa mock round seats . also the first round has been alloted .however if you are asking then i think should get colleges like .however you can get admissions in some private colleges accepting jee mains rank like thapar university ,netaji shunhas university ,haldiya institute of technology etc
Hi dear,
Hope you are doing well!
Now let's go through your question.
Though your question is unclear I would like you to know this. Firstly, indian Institutes of Information Technology(IIITs) are a group of institutes of higher education in India, focused on information technology.
And five of them are established, funded and managed by the Ministry of Human Resource Development. The rest are set up on the public-private partnership model.
Difference between IITs & IIITs?
IITs are better. IIIT is also good but when compared to IITs it will have low rank. Entry to IIT is through the iit-jee, while for IIIT it is done through AIEEE/JEE Mains score. Both are top institutes to pursue engineering education but IIT should be preferred first than IIIT.
There are currently 4 IIITs that are well known in India:
Thank You & All the best!
Well for the first part of the question, I have to tell you that your rank is very high and hence your prospects of getting mechanical engineering or civil engineering branch is highly unlikely so do not think about that.
For the second part of the question, all of the IIITs only have all india quota unlike the NITs so they question itself becomes invalid.
Hello,
First of all, it would have been good if you had mentioned your home state and also the category rank. I would assume your rank based on other cases, which I consider is definitely above 50k. I am taking 50k as a parameter because in general, most of the NITs and IIITs close around 20-22k OBC rank. You have a very slight chance in those colleges. Though the closing ranks have gone higher or remained the same this year, still you cannot expect ranks to go that higher. I would recommend you to look for some GFTIs in extremities of the country like Kangra, Katra, Tezpur, Aizwal or maybe Malda. I would repeat you have a very less chance and might, just might, get a seat somewhere in the special round. You should see for colleges in various state counsellings.
I hope I was helpful.
IIT Kurnool is one of the finest IIITs in India and is highly sought after institute related to design and manufacturing. It is an institute of National Importance and offers 3 of the most in-demand branches of Engineering, with specializations in design except in the branch of Computer Science, in India. Thus it's closing rank is also lower and is getting lower each year due to improving condition of the institute. It is a privately owned institution and thus does not provide any Home Stae advantage as in the case of NITs. You belonging to Kurnool does not help your chances in IIIT Kurnool. Last Year, it closed around 7453 for the branch of Mechanical Engineering which was the highest closing rank among the three branches. Your rank of 403904 is not enough for the seat in IIIT Kurnool, even with the SC quota.
I would strongly advise you to look into some other newer IIITs or GFTIs as now you have to either settle for a lower branch or in some lower college. But still remember, a student can excel irrespective of college he/she is in.
I am attaching last year cutoffs for IIIT Kurnool for your better understanding https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/jee-main-cutoff-for-iiitdm-kurnool
Hello aspirant! Let me to inform you that you have got a decent rank in jee mains. With 34000 category rank it seems quite difficult to get admission to a iiit. Nevertheless you might get a seat in one of the iiits. You can predict your college through the link below :

hello Naveen.
As per your rank let me tell you that your chances of getting a nit iiit or GFTIs are less. As most of the students whose rank is good in comparison to you might not take admission because they want to improve themselves. So you may get a seat in any colleges in such a case . I suggest you to go for counselling and have a look what will happen.
Good luck
Hello aspirant!
Congratulations on getting such a good rank! Yes I absolutely think that you can get a lower ranking NIT, GFTI or a middle ranking IIIT with 8000 ST category rank. After round 1, there is always some improvement in round 2. I hope this information was helpful!
I wish you all the very best for future!
As a third year B-tech student i have spent two years on campus and want to share my honest experience. Our college boasts a spacious and well maintained campus spread across around 30 acres. The main academic block are clean and fully functional with essential labs and new tech ,modern classrooms equipped with projectors and comfort seating there are also designated seminar halls and conference rooms on the ground floor of academic block. The academic block is mainly divided into 3 blocks, Block A, B and C including a very large and useful library in B block. Hostels are very close to academic block most of the hostel blocks consist of 9 floors each floor consists of 7 rooms with 6 three student rooms and 1 four student room. there is also single room hostels from second year but limited entries depending on CGPA of students. Hostel Mess is inside the hostel in ground and 1st floors. There is also a college canteen, Nescafe outlet (functioning up to 2 am ) and a stationary store inside campus. Whole campus including hostels is equipped with high speed WIFI up to a speed of 350mbps. The campus and hostels are maintained clean and tidy .Food is not the best and non native students find it difficult to maintain but there are other options plenty because mess fee is weekly and optional.
College infrastructure is overall good as it's just 23 acres but it is well maintained. All the required classes and labs are present in the academic block area. We have a large sports ground for football and cricket also.
College infrastructure is quite good there is lot of greenery in our college. Building are a bit old. Rooms are okayish i would say(enough for a person) college is small, it extends upto 30 acres. Overall it is not much bad
