Hi aspirant
The college is new and the 1st batch will pass out this year i.e in 2019.The college is running on PPP(Public Private partnership ) mode.It is ranked among 20 IIITs of the country. It has been given AAA+ rating by career 360.
You might not get ample opportunities of on campus placements,as the college is new.
There is a comparision chart between few IIITs .You can look over it.Visit here:https://www.careers360.com/compare-colleges?college=142613-5064-4358-327547-course=77088-30692-23406-200297-compareresult
There are sometimes problems in PPP mode college because the administration power in not in one hand. Its better if you choose some other old engineering colleges than joining IIITs for the shake of name.
Hope this was helpful.
All the best.
Hi Mohit,
It depends on which private college you're comparing IIIT Gwalior with. If it's BITS Pilani or IIIT Hyderabad or IIIT Banglore, then it is obviously not better. If it's not these colleges then IIIT Gwalior would be a better choice. It is one of the fastest growing engineering college in India.
All the best
Hello dinesh,
Indian Institute of Information Technology Bhopal is one among the 20 IIITs established under the non-profit Public-Private Partnership model by MHRD. MHRD, Govt. of India in collaboration with Govt. of Madhya Pradesh and Private industry partners intends to establish IIIT Bhopal on a N-PPP basis. The faculties provided to us were from NIT Bhopal itself leaving faculties for IT/CSE. Faculties for subjects of IT/CSE were hired on contract basis.Faculties provided by NIT Bhopal were exceptional in their fields, though students faced issues with contract faculty.
Dear aspirant,
The IIIT bhopal is a relatively new institute and thus has new methods of teaching as well as curriculum that is modern and innovative. The faculty is relatively new thus i cannot provide mucgh info but since it follows a new curriculum it will be good and worth it.
Hello student,
Don't know if you are aware but IIIT Gwalior offers two dual degree courses related to IT, B.Tech+M.tech and B.tech+MBA. While going with previous year trends, your rank of 16394 may be sufficient for securing a seat in 5-year courses. According to last year statistics, you could have secured seats in the first round of counselling only. Regarding the changed JEE rankings this year, we expect the closing ranks to be a bit off-trend but rest assured you can get 5 year courses in IIIT Gwalior.
Cheers!
As per your rank and previous year cutoff, the colleges you get are:-
NIT Durgapur
NIT Allahabad
NIT Agartala

Hello Mohit
Your percentile is too low to get a seat in NITs considering you belong to general category. Now, the counselling process works on sorting people based on their preferences and their rank, if someone has a better rank he gets a priority in terms of his choice. Fill all the colleges and branches in descending order based on what you want, don't consider your rank while filling choices, it will be taken care of on its own.
That will be your best shot. All the best!
As a third year B-tech student i have spent two years on campus and want to share my honest experience. Our college boasts a spacious and well maintained campus spread across around 30 acres. The main academic block are clean and fully functional with essential labs and new tech ,modern classrooms equipped with projectors and comfort seating there are also designated seminar halls and conference rooms on the ground floor of academic block. The academic block is mainly divided into 3 blocks, Block A, B and C including a very large and useful library in B block. Hostels are very close to academic block most of the hostel blocks consist of 9 floors each floor consists of 7 rooms with 6 three student rooms and 1 four student room. there is also single room hostels from second year but limited entries depending on CGPA of students. Hostel Mess is inside the hostel in ground and 1st floors. There is also a college canteen, Nescafe outlet (functioning up to 2 am ) and a stationary store inside campus. Whole campus including hostels is equipped with high speed WIFI up to a speed of 350mbps. The campus and hostels are maintained clean and tidy .Food is not the best and non native students find it difficult to maintain but there are other options plenty because mess fee is weekly and optional.
College infrastructure is overall good as it's just 23 acres but it is well maintained. All the required classes and labs are present in the academic block area. We have a large sports ground for football and cricket also.
College infrastructure is quite good there is lot of greenery in our college. Building are a bit old. Rooms are okayish i would say(enough for a person) college is small, it extends upto 30 acres. Overall it is not much bad
