IIITs are Indian institutes of information technology.They are mainly focused on Information Technology.Top institutes according to rankings are IIITDM,Jabalpur,IIIT Gwalior,IIIT Allahabad,IIITDM kanchipuram,IIIT pune,IIIT Guwahati,IIIT kota,etc.They are overall good national level institutes but some of the new iiits are not so good.

IIIT Kotayam had it's first batch started in 2015 and this was the first year when btech students got placed. Various companies visited IIIT Kotayam for recruitment like Reliance Jio, L&T, Nissan, IISc Bangalore and many other startups visited the college.

This is very challenging for you to get admission in CSE  or ECE branch of any of the IIITs with this rank, you should go with the other goverment ollege of you want to take admission in a good  branch like computer science or ECE.

According to your rank in jee mains 2019 you have very less chance to get seat in any NIT or any IIIT as your rank is very high in your category, your obc rank should be under 6000 to get seat in any good colleges.
