Look, brother regarding IIIT, I would say to join them only if you have interest in soft skills like coding, machine learning, CSE development etc.
So borther, join only when you have ineterest in these above skills and yes they provide a better peer group regarding the above domain.

Sorry.. as per the rules, diploma degree holders are not allowed to write JEE. so not possible to get into IITs/NITs. Diploma holders are eligible to get direct admission in second year of B.Tech through different CET's of state governments.

The minimum marks to get in to the jee mains NIT government is around above 120 marks is well and good it is different for different NITs according to their rank or Government engineering College it is also depends on category and competition in that particular year.

The college infrastructure is very good. There is are many natural nd artificial artifacts present inside the campus. The buildings are very much well maintained and the grounds are also very well maintained.
As a third year B-tech student i have spent two years on campus and want to share my honest experience. Our college boasts a spacious and well maintained campus spread across around 30 acres. The main academic block are clean and fully functional with essential labs and new tech ,modern classrooms equipped with projectors and comfort seating there are also designated seminar halls and conference rooms on the ground floor of academic block. The academic block is mainly divided into 3 blocks, Block A, B and C including a very large and useful library in B block. Hostels are very close to academic block most of the hostel blocks consist of 9 floors each floor consists of 7 rooms with 6 three student rooms and 1 four student room. there is also single room hostels from second year but limited entries depending on CGPA of students. Hostel Mess is inside the hostel in ground and 1st floors. There is also a college canteen, Nescafe outlet (functioning up to 2 am ) and a stationary store inside campus. Whole campus including hostels is equipped with high speed WIFI up to a speed of 350mbps. The campus and hostels are maintained clean and tidy .Food is not the best and non native students find it difficult to maintain but there are other options plenty because mess fee is weekly and optional.
College infrastructure is overall good as it's just 23 acres but it is well maintained. All the required classes and labs are present in the academic block area. We have a large sports ground for football and cricket also.
