Dear Aspirant,

Thapa is a better institute in many aspects.

1. It has a better NIRF ranking

2. KIIT is more costly than Thapar.

3. Thapar has offered excellent placement and internship opportunities with lucrative CTCs and hence you have more opportunities of getting good placement in that cases.

4. The faculties and alumni network at Thapar is well established and hence you will gain a lot from it.

The cutoffs for Thapar is higher than KIIT too.

Hence, if you have an option, in my opinion you should choose Thapar

Hope this helps

Hello,

Hope you are doing great. The eligibility criteria to get admission to B.Tech in Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham is that a candidate must have passed 10+2 or its equivalent with minimum 60% marks in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry taken together and must have scored minimum 55% marks in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry individually from a recognized board.

Hii Dhruv,

Every year, recruiters like ITC, Dabur, IBM, HSBC, Berger Paints, Bharat Petroleum, Finserv, British Paints etc participate in the HBTU Placements.

HBTU is a government residential university whereas kiit is a private deemed university.

But its yours choice for which college to choose based on other factors also so choose wisely.

Hey Anshu,

NO

KIIT conducts his own entrance exam for admission known as KIITEE

but it takes admission through JEE Advancedscores for which you have to fill the application form given on the website

follow the link given:-

Hello Utpal,

No KIIT University does not take admission through JEE Mains rank. The Admission Cell would be able to help with this. Getting a seat based on your rank has already flown away as you missed the counseling so the best bet is for approaching a Management Quota seat, which may provide little or no merit to your KIITEE rank.

Good luck!

Hello,

Yes, in this percentile there is possibility of getting admission in kiits but let me tell you that you would be getting lower branches like civil, mechanical, automobile , chemical , Biotechnology. However various factors are considered while deciding the cut offs like number of candidates appearing in the examination, number of vacant seats in college, previous years cut offs and difficulty level of the paper.

You can also try for wbjee colleges and the comedk colleges. Colleges like VIT Vellore, SRM University, Manipal University are also good ones.
