Amity University | M.Tech Admissions 2025
ApplyRanked amongst top 3% universities globally (QS Rankings).
Hello!
You have got a quite decent rank in KIITEE exam. However the eligibility criteria of KIITEE states that you need to secure an 60% in PCM which also means that you need to secure 60% in physics, chemistry and maths individually. For example - Even if your aggregate in PCM might be 61% but if your scores are like 63,60,59 in physics, chemistry and maths respectively then you will not be eligible for admission. Even that one mark Less in maths would cost you much! However your mark in English and optional subject is not taken into consideration for this.
Sorry to say but even if your KIITEE rank is quite decent you won't get admission into B.Tech steam in KIIT.Getting a 60% in PCM is the much required thing which they can expect from anyone opting for a B.Tech course.
However if you choose branches like Biotechnology, law.LLB or BBA ,it won't be an issue and you can get admission there.
Last year during my admissions in KIIT,One of my friends had got an aggregate of 65% in PCM. However she had secured 54 in mathematics due to which her admission to B.Tech course was declared invalid though she had been fulfilling all the other necessary elegibilities. However ,now she is enrolled for a 5 year dual degree Biotechnology course at KIIT.
So you can get admission into any other courses other than B.Tech or any technical course at KIIT
Apart from this the only other possible way to get admission in a B.Tech course in KIIT through management quota. For that you need to contact undersigned counselor, who could provide you with the necessary details for admission at KIIT UNIVERSITY.
Hope this helps!!!

Hello Monica!
First of all Congratulations for securing such a good rank in KIITEE exam. With this rank you can easily get branches like ETC,EEE,EIE(electronics and instrumentation engineering) ,ECSE(electronics and computer engineering) as well as some derivative branches of CSE like CSSE(computer science and system engineering) ,CSIT (computer science and information technology) and IT which are as good as CSE branch in KIIT.In the first round of counselling you may not be able to get a pure CSE branch sure to increasing demand of CSE but in the second round of counselling you can surely get into CSE branch.
Please note that the cutoffs can vary as they depend upon factors like number of students who take the test, the difficulty level of paper, number of seats available.Just have patience and attend the counselling.
Also refer this link for further details.I can help you with the closing rank of previous year.KIIT cutoff .

Hello Rishika!
It is not mandatory to attend both the days of counseling. Moreover both the dates are for different purposes. The first day counseling is for women(general and reserved), where you are alloted your branch as per the women's rank that you have secured. The second day counseling is for both men and women(general and reserved category for male and only the general category for females ).
However attending the first day of counseling is beneficial since you may have more chances of getting into your desired branch owing to the lesser number of women candidates appearing in the exam.
You may not get The same branch in the second day of counseling that you can get in the very first day of counseling.
Hope this helps!! !

Hello Abhishek!
First of all congratulations for securing a decent rank in both the competitive examinations, KIITEE and SRMJEEE.
With this rank you can easily get a seat in E&I,ECSE,electrical, Civil, mechanical branch at KIIT.
Being a student of KIIT Deemed To Be University,I personally recommend you to join KIIT since it is best known for the placements . Placement is one of the advantages that KIIT offers since its inception .It has an impeccable record in campus placement. KIIT has always been much favored talent hunting ground for corporate world as it delivers industry-ready students. A well organized placement team streamlines the recruitment process and students get the jobs of their choice.
Every year various companies hire students offering them 5-24 lakhs of annual package.
The university is best in every aspect whether it is academics or other activities.
They have a very well designed campus and in the last few years ,it has improved many hostel rooms, classrooms, campus etc.Hostels are very neat & clean and the College campuses have beautiful sights. Here you can find food from every parts of India. The hostel food is much better than other universities.(though the weather might be annoying at times but still better than SRM Chennai!)The faculties in KIIT are much better than those in SRM as I have heard from my friends studying in SRM university.Overall this is a college that anyone could ask for.

As far as ranking is concerned the most authentic one considered is the Official MHRD Ranking (National Institutional Ranking Framework, Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India): MHRD, National Institute Ranking Framework (NIRF) In 2016, KIIT university got 32nd rank while SRM University campus didn’t even manage to get into top 100 university list.In 2017, SRM university ranks 35th position while KIIT University got 47th rank and now in 2018,SRM university ranks 41st position whereas KIIT ranks 42nd position. And also both are DEEMED Universities status wise.
Every private universities has students who come through donatation but here ,the number is way less than SRM.The fee structure of KIIT is also less as compared to SRM.In overall comparison KIIT is a good university which has transparent system of education but in SRM University condition isn’t the same.
I would suggest you to join KIIT University on these basis, however, whichever university you choose, it is upto the individual to perform and master the skills. After all it's you who is going to represent your Alma Mater.
Hope this helps!
All the Best!!

Hello Khurshid.
3726 is quite a good rank in KIITEE but one may not get pure CSE branch with this rank. However there is chance of getting branches like computer science and system engineering( CSSE),computer science and information technology(CSIT),IT.These branches are as good as CSE in KIIT in terms of placement wise.
Last year when I had attend the women counseling in KIIT, almost all the seats for pure CSE got over by 1500 rank because of its rising demand. However there might be chances of getting CSE in the second round of counseling .
Hope this helps!

KIIT School of Architecture and Planning's infrastructure is truly impressive. Here's what stands out: - *State-of-the-art facilities*: The college boasts fully centralized air conditioning, modern classrooms, well-equipped labs, and studios with all necessary instruments. - *Amenities*: The campus offers Wi-Fi connectivity, medical facilities, sports, and gym facilities, although some students have reported slow internet speeds. - *Landscaping*: The campus is beautifully landscaped with nice views, creating a pleasant environment for students to study and relax. - *Shuttle service*: A shuttle service is available to facilitate movement between campuses, as KIIT has a total of 22 campuses. Overall, KIIT School of Architecture and Planning's infrastructure provides students with a comfortable and conducive learning environment, making it an excellent choice for architecture students.
The KIIT has good infrastructure with all the modern facilities in the campus. It has modern labs, air conditioning auditorium, it also provides sports facilities for students, and also hostel facilities are available. The college is good with infrastructure.
The college's Infrastructure is great and has a very premium appeal compared to what I have seen so far in other colleges i have visited. Although of the fees here is very high too but the experience makes it worth it. The ambience, the comfort and the good environment is soothing. Although the current scenarios have been a bit left and right around the college due to 2 frequent suicides and spreading of misinformation, I think else wise it is a great place to be in. Basic amenities like wifi, washrooms, food and all are of top quality and there are not many extra restrictions related to any of it either.
