Dear aspirant,

By schedule I am considering you are talking about offline classes. So let me tell you that as of current situation 2nd wave of covid-19 is normalized but ss per the experts the 3rd wave is going to hit in the next 8 weeks.

So the institutions cannnot even think of reopening the college atleast for 4-5 months as of now .

But if the 3rd wave is not so severe as of 2nd wave then the colleges would soon open .

Dear aspirant,

As you have mentioned that you have got 160 marks in the manipal entrance examination so let me tell you that as per my calculations your rank would be somewhat around 1k considering the previous year dynamics. So you definitely have fair chances of getting ece branch in main campus.

But dynamics changes every year depending upon certain factors like number of candidates appearing in that examination, number of vacant seats, previous years cut offs.

I hope this answer helped you!!

Hello,

You can expect your rank to be in between 8000-11000. Last year the cut off was 866 in round 3 for admission to Computer Science Engineering for admission in to Manipal Institute of Technology, Manipal. This year the cut off is expected to be in between 700-1000. Considering the previous year cut off and the expected rank you do have chances of getting seat in Manipal campus but you do have chances of getting seat in Computer Science Engineering in Sikkim Manipal Institute of Technology, Sikkim and Manipal University Jaipur. The cut off was 29216 and 10635 respectively. The cut off is subjected to change depending on the total number of candidates appeared, difficulty level of examination and total number of seats available etc.

The actual rank may also vary based on the factors such a highest score, tie breakers, total number of candidates appeared etc.

Dear aspirant,

It is a bit difficult to predict what would be your rank at this marks as it depends upon certain conditions like number of candidates appearing in that examination, number of vacant seats in college, previous years cut off, difficulty level of the paper.

But on a general basis as per my knowledge I would say in these marks your rank would be somewhat around 1.3k and you do have fair chances to get cse at manipal main campus. But note that these things vary in these private college examination.

Hello,

In 2020 the cut off rank to get admission to Computer Science Engineering in round 3 was 8663 to get admission in to Manipal University, Jaipur. Considering the previous year cut off you need to secure a rank below 8600 because the cut off may increase or decrease depending on the total number of candidates appeared, difficulty level of examination and total number of seats available etc. It is quite difficult to predict the minimum marks because the rank vs marks trend changes depending on the highest score in the exam, total marks, normalized score, total number of candidates appeared etc. Last year MET was conducted for 800 marks and this year it is conducted for 240 marks so the rank vs marks trend will change. A safe score to secure a rank below 8600 is 175-195 marks or above. This is an estimated score, the actual rank may vary with this estimated score based on the factors discussed above.

Greetings dear aspirant

Firstly, congrats on successful completion of your MET exam. The cut-off trends keeps changing every year and it depends on the number of students attempting the exam, difficulty level, number of available seats, etc. With 107/240, its not possible to get CSE or IT branch in their main campus, i.e. Manipal as there is a huge competition for these seats. The cut-off of CSE branch at Manipal campus was 781 in the year 2020. So, you can try for CSE and IT branches their Jaipur and Sikkim campuses. Just apply to their counselling process and as it is conducted in different rounds, your chances of securing a seat increases.

You can have a look at the cut-off trends from the above link.

Hope it helps!!

All the best for your counselling process

Hi aspirant,

Manipal group of higher education owns both the colleges and is ranked 39th for engineering by NIRF. Let us compare both of them on the parameters you have mentioned:

College life:

The Manipal campus is spread across huge area of around 300 acres, the infrastructure here is world class with advanced labs, big libraries and hostels are also well maintained. Tech and cultural fests are regular part of curriculum and you can find diversity at its best. The Jaipur campus is comparatively smaller with campus area of 122 acres but is knowned for it's beautiful and regional influenced architecture. The off campus life at Jaipur is marvellous with lots of area to explore. The weather is very pleasant specially winters.

Placements

Manipal campus surely edges in this matter, reputed passouts, old status and quality education have proven benchmark for the placements. It currently has 95 per cent placement records with an average package of 5.5-6 lacs. The Jaipur campus is still growing and has placements around 75 percent with an average of 4.5 lacs.

Hope it helps!!

Hello,

It is very difficult to difficult to predict the exact rank with the given score because rank is determined by the factors such as total number of candidates appeared, highest score, lowest score, tie breakers etc. To know the actual rank you need to wait until the merit list is published. We can predict the expected rank for now, with 135 marks your rank is expected to be in between 8000-15000. The actual rank may vary. In 2020 round 3 of counselling the cut off rank was as follows for admission to Manipal University, Jaipur

  • Computer Science Engineering: 10635
  • Computer & Communication: 24973
  • Information Technology: 19302

Considering the previous year cut off you have chances of getting seat in all the preferred courses. But the cut off is subjected to change, it may increase or decrease depending on the total number of candidates appeared, difficulty level of examination and total number of seats available etc.

Hello ,

Congrats !You can surely get a seat in the main campus.

An estimated rank vs mark analysis

marks                          rank

200+                             300

185+                              700

170+                            1400

160+                            2400

150+                            4400

140+                             7000

120+                            10.5K

110+                             16K

100+                              22K

Accordingly your rank will be <4400.For AE the previous year cutoff was almost 16k-22K.And obviously you can get AE in the main campus.

Hello Sibaji

Manipal University conducts its own annual online entrance test to offer admissions to interested candidates in their programmes. To get CSE, you should secure a rank under 2000. Your rank will be decided by the number of other factors like availability of seats, number of applicant so we cant predict accurately. However 139 marks is believed to be good but can be a bit difficult too to take you in the main campus with that score. there are other branches where you can surely get in.

If you are capable of getting 150+ in the exam, you have high chances in getting CSE in Manipal Campus. They offers 2 tries and the best one is recorded. Give it a try. You can do it. Stay focused.

Thankyou

Best wishes for your future

College Infrastructure

Manipal univeristy jaipur is a pretty solid place academically, but its not that great as well. Course structure is decent, professors are good, but like every other college, you need to put effort into it. Professors are really approachable. sports facilities are kickass. Library is amazing. auditorium and mess are 5 star. ofcourse they charge money for that. living space are luxurious, unlike BITS.

only for those with good enough money.
