Hi,

All three are among the top colleges in India. Placements are also good for all of the three. I am comparing the three colleges based on following criteria:

1. Campus : VIT > NIT-Allahabad > IIIT-Allahabad.

2. Placement: IIIT ALLAHABAD > NIT- ALLAHABAD >VIT

3. Research : IIIT-Allahabad >VIT>NIT-ALLAHABAD.

4. Fees (lower fees is ranked Higher): NIT-ALLAHABAD >IIIT-ALLAHABAD>VIT.

The fees at NIT depends on both category and Income. If your income is in between 1-5 Lakh then you will have to pay around 58000 per semester. If your family income exceeds 5 lakh then you will have to pay 98000 per semester. This fees doesn't include Mess fees.

The fees in NIT Allahabad depends on your Family income. If your family has income in between 1 lakh - 5 lakh then you can get remission of the fees.

NIT Allahabad charges around 56000 per semester for those who have income in between 1-5 Lakh. And for students who had income more than 5 lakh, they had to pay 98000 per semester.

IIIT- Allahabad charges around 98000 per semester. All the fees mentioned doesn't include Mess Charges.

Caution Money - 3,000

Tuition Fee (per Semester) - 62,500

Other fees (per Semester) -  19,000

Total -  84,500

Since your family income is in between 1Lakh-5 Lakh, you could get remission of 2/3 fees.

IIIT Allahabad Fees structure :

The total fees that are paid in a semester is 62,400 . This doesn't include Mess fees.

2. Institute and other Fees:

• User Charges - INR 9000 per semester
• Caution Money (One-Time Payment) - INR 5000 (Institute - INR 2000, Hostel - INR 2000, Library - INR 1000)

Note that a Mess Fee of INR 15,000 to be paid by demand draft, prepared in the name of Chief Warden, MNNIT Allahabad.

This is a bit difficult to predict the marks/percentile/rank required in JEE mains to get a seat in nit as cut off  keeps changing every year  depending upon various factors like  number of students that appeared in the exam, kind of marks obtained by them , toughness level of the jee main examination , number of seats available for the branch you want etc.

But yes,

When we go through previous year trend then ,

In round 6 of josaa counselling 2020 , for obc category  closing rank for gender neutral for home state in nit allahabad was 11478 OBC rank and it was for biotechnology

And to get around  11478 obc rank , you need at least around 96.5 percentile as per predictor at

So , you must target at least 96.5 percentile for nit Allahabad under home state which is around at least 130 marks

IIIT Allahabad

Eligibility: Minimum 60% marks in 10+2 examination with science stream ( physics, chemistry and mathematics)

Admission is through JEE MAIN

Some of the top recruiters are Google, Microsoft, Linkedin, Adobe etc.

NIT Allahabad

Eligibility:  Minimum 75 % in 10+2 examination with science stream (PCM)

Admission is on the basis of JEE MAIN score.

Placement record is good with companies like Google, Infosys, Canon, Amazon, Flipkart recruiting.

Both Colleges have good coding culture. Most of the students are those who got good rank in JEE-Mains. You can see that both colleges have good Placement record for CSE students. This can only happen if college have good coding atmosphere. Both institute have average package around 8-9Lakh . If you are average student then you get placed at good package.
