Every year the required rank keeps changing for every college. It may increase or decrease depending upon the students performance. MNNIT is comparatively easy to get into while compared to the other NIT's. Even for courses like computer science, the cut off is pretty low.

I am a MBA student from NIT Surathkal , even-though it is a technical institution it is good to do MBA here as it has good placements this year. Companies like Delloite, ITI, Federal Bank and many other good companies recruited many students with the average package of 7 lakhs per annum.

Rather than investing in private colleges it is better to study in NIT with lesser fee. You will get both  in NIT Surathkal and MNIT Allahabad for your percentile.You have to perform well in your group discussion and personal interview which is also important for the admissions.

Computer Science (CS) is considered as the best branch in MNIT Allahabad because of its good placement record.It offer provides many job opportunities and lot if big cimoanies offer jobs wither average package ranging from 8-10 LPA.

Cut offs depend on the difficulty level of the question paper and number of students appearing.

Nit warangal is better than nit allahabad for Computer science if we consider faculties, infrastructure and placement.Nit warangal gives exposure to real world and eduacate about new skills and technique.

MNNIT allahabad has average package of 12.5 lakh whereas nit warangal has average package of 15.5 lakhs .

IIIT Better provides much better facilities and infrastructure.The study environment at Iiit allahabad is Very peaceful and friendly.The emedia section of library has 50 computer systems . library of IIIT allahabad have more than 50000 books.

As concerned above Iiit allahabad is far better than mnnnit allahabad.

SO BASICALLY IIIT ALLAHABAD IS FAR BETTER THAN MNNIT .

There are total 6 hotels for undergraduate male students which includes bedroom study room separated by a column along with balcony. The facilities in hostel are pretty good. Rooms have beds, cupboards, study tables with chairs, and study lamps with good internet LAN connection . Each floor has washrooms at each corner. Water purifiers, water coolers, geysers are also available. TVs and table tennis are in common room. SVBH has G+7 floors. Rooms are spacious.

In general, lecture and practical timings in any engineering colleges is between 8am to 6pm and mnit is no acception.
However you have to study for your semester syllabus,make assignments,lab work etc in times other than class timings.
Therefore one can say that an engineer's life is very busy .But if you really want to prepare for other examinations like upsc then you will have to make a strict time table and stick to it.
