I am happy to say that, based on previous years' trend, you can easily get Electrical and Electronics Engineering in NIT Calicut based on Home State Quota and reservation category.

Both of the institutes you have mentioned, are one of the most preferred NIT's. Now from a job perspective, high salaries are more often in ECE than that of Chemical Engineering. Although, if you want to go abroad for jobs then in Chemical Engineering, there is quite some scope available.

Dear applicant although we know Computer Science Engineering is a very widely chosen stream but considering the two Institutes I would suggest you to choose Civil in NIT Calicut.
