Hello Kunal,

To get into branches like ECE, EEE, Mechanical here, you need to score at least above 160 (rank about 20-22k) in Mains provided you are from Jharkhand and for getting CSE you need to score above 180 (rank about 12–13k).

Exact marks are very difficult to tell because each year cutoff n ranking is changing. For sure short admission in nit Jamshedpur, u should score more than 130 to get any branch.

Hope this helps.

Hello Kunal,

It would be difficult to provide you the exact qualifying score or admission cutoff as JEE Main is being counducted twice by NTA for the first time and rank will be based on NTA percentile score which will be decleared in the month of April after the both of the session ( Jan & April).

Good Luck!

Hello Rohit,

It is difficult to predict your exact admission possibilities for any college or the exact qualifying marks as the exam is being conducted twice in multiple session, The final NTA scores will be used to rank the candidates.

You can use this formula to calculate your expected rank-

874469 are the number of candidates appeared for the January exam. So rank formula is (100- your total score) * 874469 / 100.

If the number of candidates for April exam increased to 1400000 then your final rank shall be (100- your total score) * 1400000/100

You can also check your admission possibility with the given below JEE Main college predictor.

Moreover your catagory will play a major role in your selection.

Like you belongs to SC catagory so you might get a seat in NIT.

Hope this helps.

Hey Gaurav,

Metallurgy branch of NIT jamshedpur is better than top NITs.

Placement of Metallurgy branch is very good in NIT JSR.

A metallurgical students can do job in core companies, IT sector as well as they can do job in government sector.

Hello,
If you are a student of obc category and your score in jee mains is 60 marks then you definitely can not expect of getting admission in any NITs or IIITs but you can expect admission in top private colleges like Silicon,CV raman, etc.
Good luck.

Hello Raunak,

I would suggest you don't discard RVCE CSE just like that . Visit the college website before you decide. Placements atleast for my batchmate from cs was exceptional.Easily more than 100 cs companies visited the college this year!!! It's the second best college in the state of Karnataka after nit suratkal and being situated in a city like Bengaluru , job opportunities are great especially in computer science.

Hope it helped you

Thank you
