The level of questions of B. Tech in NIT Rourkela is of descriptive type. The questions generally consist of numerical based problems. Theoretical questions are less in number. The mid-semester exams are of 30 marks and the rest 70 is for Semester examinations.

To get seat in the NIT rourkela ,you must secure a good rank in the jee main examination. If you are a state member of odisha,then you can get relaxation of some marks in state quota
Averagly you must score 160+ marks in jee main to get seat
Hello Chandan, Your marks in 12th has no outcome on your admission. Admission in NITs are totally based on your performance in JEE Mains. Though you must get 75% to be eligible for admission in all the NITs but these is no value of 12th class marks in gaining admission

As you don't have Biology during your 12th it's going to be matter a lot. But if think you can accommodate to the life science course you can go for it. You have to do a lot work on Biology in order to take admission. If really interested
