Hello,
The rating given for NIT ,rourkela is 4.3 overall.
It is regarded as best compared with the other.
Both of the NITs are good
Overall , rourkela has got few bonus points yo go for.
Now my humble suggestion is please try to find first about the future scope of VLSI and instrumention.
Then see if you are interested or not
Then look at my answer below.
This is just a suggestion,
VLSI is good infact harder to catch ,once caught you get attractive packages.
Wish you good luck.
Hey there,
You should go for CSE at IIIT Lucknow. If you want a better exposure faculty and facilities then go for this college otherwise if you to study the metallurgy engineering then you can also go for nit Rourkela. Nit Agartala is not very much good in terms of packages of placement and facilities when you compare it with these two colleges.
So in my opinion just join IIIT Lucknow.
Good luck ahead !
Hi. Your chances in NIT Rourkela CSE branch with your percentile rank are quite low. However, please register in the JoSAA counselling procedure. You may get a good government college as well. Do check out the college predictor on the Careers360 website.
Best of Luck!

Hi,NIT Rourkela last year cutoff rank for chemical engineering was 10330 Round 7 in home state quota and for cse it was around 5500 for home state quota and there were no seat allotment in chemical and computer science engineering department in special rounds also. So, not looking possible as of now try for some other colleges. Don't waste time
hello
you have slight chances of getting food process engineering or ceramic engineering in nit rourkela through home state quota. you can check the previous year closing ranks of nit rourkela at https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/jee-main-cutoff-for-nit-rourkela.
The infrastructure of National Institute of Technology Rourkela is so beautiful as other NITs. We have all the world class facilities available in the campus all the infrastructure has some story of success
The laboratories were equipped with all necessary equipment. Each department and the library have open Wi-Fi access. The hostel provides spacious rooms that can accommodate two students. The mess facilities were somewhat manageable for students from other states. Additionally, we have access to free medical services here.
The infrastructure is very good. We have an indoor stadium, a football field, and a cricket field. Campus has Wi-Fi everywhere, classrooms have ACs and labs are also good and equipped with all instruments and machines. In hostels, the quality of food is good. Different types of food options are available for North Indians and South Indians. The college has a medical center with a doctor available 24 hours a day.
