Yes, this college only accepts Jee mains marks. To get a seat in this nit u have to score good marks in Jee mains.

As we all know that civil is a core branch and there is a huge scope of govt. Prospects in this branch. But if you concern about the placements in the college than it is good.

U have  to get 75% in boards or u should in top 20 percentile of u respective  board and apart from this u have to get goods marks in Jee mains.  Best of luck

As concerned with Mechanical engineering, NIT Warangal ranks better than NIT Rourkela.

The college being established in 1959, situated near Hyderabad region has legacy brand.
Mechanical being its core branch, the dedicated Placements cell has brought in some top recruiters like Schlumberger, Vedanta , Bajaj, Maruti, IOCL, Daimler Chrysler, Fedex, Hero, Relaince, Aditya Birla Group, TAS, BPCL for core manufacturing, Logistics, Procurement, Production Metallurgy and designing roles.
Average oackage observed for Mechanical is 7 LPa with highest as 22 LPA and 95% placements ratio.

Coming to NIT Rourkela, the placement cell classifies companies into Dream, super dream and Normal categories, with restrictions of having atmost 3 offers.
This disallows multiple offers.
Some topcmapnies like Tata Motors, General motors, ITC, Mahindra, JSW are frequent recruiters.
However, avsrgae package is lower to NIT Warangal, over here average observed at 6LPA with 80% placements.

In our opinion, Warangal has sheer edge over RRourkela for mechanical engineering.
