Hello,
Last year's cutoff rank was 12898(general) and 3849 (obc) for mechanical engineering branch in NIT ROURKELA.So it's too difficult to get that branch.For details:

However,you have chances of getting low rank NITs or IIITs if you can try till last round of counselling.

Mayank, students who get higher rank in mains also get selected in advance so even lower ranks get the colleges with higher cut off
