As per your query cutoff for nit Silchar for SC category in civil engineering for males/females is around 8759 home state quota and 5859 for other states and in computer science engineering the ranks for females is around 3024 home state quota and 3807 for other state and if you want to know the cutoff for other branches please comment it down i will provide you.

As we go through the latest cut-offs of JEE-Main 2021 of JOSAA 6th round then it shows that the closing ST rank was 775 for CSE branch in NIT Silchar under Other state quota for ST category.
Now to secure such rank you should have your JEE-Main 2022 score at least 165+ marks out of 300 and percentile against this is expected to be in the range of 98.5-98.9.

If i had to give my opinion then i would choose nit Silchar over nit Patna because nit Patna is a newer nit as compared to nit Silchar . In case computer science the average package for nit Silchar is 22L whereas for nit Patna it is 16L.
So you can see the difference . Companies like microsoft, Amazon, Goldman Sachs,de Shaw , Cisco , dyte,work india, cognizant, wipro, infosys Accenture and many other tech giant visit the campus for recruitment.
Overall median package for nit Silchar is 8.5L per annum whereas for nit Patna it is 6L per annum.

I hope that you are doing absolutely great.
Getting NIT's like NIT silchar, and other low NIT"s is not that difficult if you start preparing for JEE mains now. The JEE mains first attempt is going to be held on April and there is very few time left.
Since you have mentioned that you have completed only 30% of the Syllabus of the JEE mains, let me tell you that it would be really difficult for you to score good percentile score and rank to get any good NIT's. But, don't worry with good practice, hard work and grit, you cna definitely get good or even low NIT's with proper preparation tips and strategies. If you wont get NIT;s with the first attempt, thn don't let yourself down, you can still apply for second attempt for JEE mains 2022 in May session can perform well in it. The main thing is to get started now.

Nit Silchar is one of most demanded NITs. For getting civil engineering branch in this college, you must secure minimum 97 Percentile which is nearly equal to 28000 rank if you are from home state category. For getting admission in NITs, you have to qualify JEE mains with minimum 95percentile for general category. There are many NIT which are top ranked by NIRF as well as has good placement record, but you should score accordingly for that NIT. The top NIT for CSE are :-

No, NIT Silchar is not only option , you can try into many others NIT. In that case you will not have access to home state quota.

However, the mobile network was very poor in the hostel room and sometimes lan did not work properly. classrooms are in pretty good condition in new gallery classroom. for civil laboratories, the equipment was not maintain properly.
