Since you specifically mentioned Chemical Engineering, it all boils down to the college. NIT Warangal is much better than NIT Karnataka in terms of Faculty, Placements,etc. NIT Warangal, NIT Trichy and NIT Surathkal are always among the top 3 NITs in India.

You have not mentioned your state and it is not clear whether you belong to OBC-CL or OBC-NCL. Assuming that you belong to other state considering previous year cut off under other state you may not get seat in NIT, Warangal. However, you may have chances of getting seat
