Cut off a college depends upon category, branch, and state Quota. Assuming you to be a general category student under All India Quota, here is the cut off of various branches as per the previous year trends -

1. Civil Engineering - 16700

2. Mechanical Engineering - 11900

You have obtained 4282 ST category rank. According to previous year data and cutoff with this rank you would not be getting seat in SVNIT Surat and MNIT Jaipur because the closing rank above is high. But this is past year cutoff and hence can change every year.

SVNIT is better than DA IICT in terms of placements, faculty etc.DA IICT provide you ICT degree but if we go through the SVNIT curriculum the subjects are all of EC branch.In addition to that the faculty are experienced.So I choose SVNIT.

DTU is with 100% placement, compared to NIT,Surat.So,depending upon placement records DTU is better.
