Dear Himanshi, electrical branch at SVNIT SURAT is a good option. The college all in all is very good

Placements : Almost 70% of students were placed in electrical branch with an average salary package offered was around 5.9 LPA and maximum salary package offered was around 12-19 LPA. Only 2-3 core companies visit every year and offer up to 10LPA, which is a decent placement scenario as in India but not matching with top IITs.

Infrastructure : Infrastructure including hostels and the library is very good, but the classroom complex, labs, sports complex, student activity centre are not up to the mark. The ground needs a lot of maintenance throughout the year, and courts in particular hostels should be improved.

Faculty : Teachers are really good for electrical branch except some, as there are always some exceptions. No industrial visit is conducted in our branch. The course curriculum is updated this year only for the first year, but as a whole, it's not up to the mark of current industry requirements.

Other : College has 2 major fests, one autumn fest which is the fresher party and the other is the techno cultural fest or the spring fest. The campus crowd is good. Other than students from Gujarat, campus has good strength of students from Rajasthan, UP and from the south. Their is a fee remission for financially weak students.

All the best

Hope this helps

Average package offered for the EC branch students in NIT Surat for the different years are as follows:

Year 2018:

Average Package: 6.54 lpa

Highest Package: 10.53 lpa

Year 2017

Average Package: 5.81 lpa

Highest Package: 12.53 lpa

Year 2016

hi,

sorry to say you can not get admission in b.tech after completing diploma in mechanical engineering in any nits. svnit stands for Sardar Vallabhbhai National Institute of Technology. nits b.tech admission is only done by jee main exam score.  nits and iits has no scheme for lateral entry admission process, so there is no admission for diploma pass candidates in btech. you may apply in other state government  engineering  or private colleges.

Hi

Based on your mentioned colleges without any doubt ofcourse daiict is the best college in all the aspects and svnit also good but not that good with comparing because any course it may be one thing we need to consider about teaching with comparing daiict has good faculty with experience even svnit has more faculty in number but not in experience and also based on placements, infrastructure ,study background and all the categories daiict is  better

Hope this information is helpful

All the best

Both the university are amazing in their own sense. Their rankings are very similar and they stand as nearly equals in the university ladder. However you can decide upon your university based on your scores, the placements and the programme you are interested in.

Both the colleges are really good and among the top 10 colleges. But if compared i would say the fee of BITS, hyderabad is a lot more than NIT, surat. Also the fests of NIT, surat are much better and it is also one of the best nits. There is very slight difference among both the colleges so you can also consider location while choosing the college.

Thank-you.
