To get into Sardar Vallabhbhai National institute of technology (SVNIT) you have to write joint entrance examination main which is a national level examination for b.tech program you cannot get seat in any NITs with state level examination like gujcet. So no you won't get seat in SVNIT with your gujcet and 12th marks.

Manit bhopal is very famous for the CSE course that it offers. The placements provided is very good and upto the mark.

When we talk about NIT surat, the infrastructure is good and it has very experienced faculties for mechanical branch. The seats offered are less so the chances of being places is appreciably high.

Please weigh your options and then come to a conclusion. Both the NITs are good at its own place. Its difficult to rate one more than the other.

Dear aspirant, the previous year cut off in ST category for mechanical engineering stream at SVNIT was  closing rank-2072 for home state & closing rank- 1352 for other state. If you are placed in 1k to 2k ranks of your respective category then there would be chances for yours getting a seat at SVNIT mechanical. It's difficult to tell exact percentile for getting this yes but the previous year cut off in ST category for clearing JEE MAIN was 44 percentile so scoring 92 would be a very good score indeed.

SVNIT is good to persue mechanical engineering in terms of facility as well as placement.

As per last year data,SVNIT had 74.87% campus placement. Out of  208 students in mechanical branch 149 eligible students got placed.
The average package for mechanical branch was 5.70LPA.whereas the highest package was 10.10LPA.

You have scored 97.96 percentile in JEE main that means your rank should be around 17227. However your final rank will depend on number of student appear in April month exam. You can also calculate your rank as

Rank=(100-your percentile)×869010÷100

You will get both desired branch in NIT Surat but little difficult in NIT WARANGAL.

The cutoff marks for Gate exam 2020 for gettung admitted in SVNIT, Surat is by following criteria

• No. Of candidates appearing for GATE 2020
• Previous year cutoff trend of SVNIT surat
• Difficulty of the exam of GATE 2020

In the year 2018, the cutoff marks was

622 marks to 526 in open category and 551 to 461 in OBC category.

In the year 2017 it was 640 marks to 566 in open category, and in OBC 574 marks to 512.

Thus years cutt off is not yet given from authorities. So check the given last years 2019 cut offs of SVNIt.You didn't mention the department in which you are interested. I am giving you approximate cut offs for all departments
