Yes you definitely can participate in the CSAB for an upgrade in the seat in case you don't get your desired seat. There is nothing sort of disadvantage in it if you are sure that you want to take admission through JEE Mains as you will be asked to submit additional 35000 to participate in the CSAB round and this extra will be then adjusted in your college fee accordingly. Just make sure you fill your choices carefully, don't mess it up. You will atleast have the existing seat in your hand so don't worry.

based on your rank it is difficult for you to get the particular college as the mechanical branch closed at  a rank of 60000 .You can try jaypee noida, a private college through jee mains.
