Everything in and around the campus is great with respect to infrastructure and also the living and studying spaces are kept clean at all times and proper hygiene protocols are followed. On the overall the college infrastructure is great
Academics can be improved and I see a wide scope in that department since professors in various departments are rude and not of the particular kind and helping nature that a professor should be in order to impart the quality of knowledge which should be provided at such a huge sum of money which we pay as our fees. The professors are on the overall not approachable and welcoming in nature which makes the academics not so good.
The placement cell isn’t a great place for students studying at SRM as the placement cell has many rules which do not benefit the students rather it makes it difficult for us to find a suitable ground and placement.
Since the academics are only good and the placement are below average I would give it a three star because these are the two most important features that a college has to offer and these are not exactly living up to the expectations
Campus life is great. It is a healthy environment and a safe place for students. No ragging or anything of that sort has ever happened on campus and also the fests are one of the best in the nation with a lot of extra curricular activities happening in clubs it makes for an amazing development ground for a student
The campus covers a huge area and has a lot of facilities like theatre hall, sports complex, a nice food court, different kinds of labs, etc. We also have smart classes, shuttle busses at a difference of 10 minutes which leads to the station. Specially talking about my course, classes are not AC from the second year.
All over the curriculum is nice. But somehow I feel the teaching can be much more better and interesting. Obviously, there are few faculties which make the subject very interesting but all over it should be more efficient.
I am a 3rd year student so I am technically not yet eligible for placements. It came to my notice once that the highest placement from Comp Science is 42 LAKHS PER ANNUM. Leaving this talking about my department, worldwide reputed companies come for placements. Example: BERGER PAINTS
For me only tuition fees costed 2.5 Lakhs per annum. I feel at least in this pandemic it could get lowered to a large extent as technically no one is at college so cost could be cut down short as a major factor like electricity is getting saved in the campus. Also maintenance cost is not very less when things are not being used. They are still taking exam fees in thousands where they ain't even providing us pen and paper.
Campus Life is nice. There are many activities to do besides academics also. Specially in my case, I have been deeply associated with the MOVIES & DRAMATICS club which acted as a relaxation after the hectic academic day from 8am-5pm.
All over leaving everything academically SRM should be more efficient, qualified & interesting.
College infrastructure is on-point. We get enough space inside college to explore and indulge into different activities. Classrooms are huge. All spaces are well ventilated. Laboratories have enough equipment to suffice our needs. Hostels are well constructed. M-Block being the best choice for girls. It has all best in class facilities, around 8 lifts, staircase, grocery store, stationary shops and restaurant inside the hostel itself. We also have TV Room, Gym, Games room & study room in hostel.
The quality of teachers are great. They give you time to grasp knowledge and can explain a thousand time. We get all facilities required, the library is huge and comes of major use, even if one is preparing for any competitive exam. The curriculum is well managed and focuses on overall development of the child. Overall, they make you future ready.
The placement quality has been good. We see many marquee companies coming to college this year. Placements are good if one is an average scorer and scores 8 or more GPA. Placement offers for people above 6 GPA are also many, so there is nothing to worry about. One just needs to be consistent.
My course costed me 3.5 lakhs per year! But for top rankers it ranks between 2.5 - 3 lakhs per annum. My hostel was for 2.5 lakhs in M-Block, a non -ac would cost about 1.5 lakhs per annum. My money was spent right, as i consider the facilities given to us.
Campus life would be fun. You will see everyone on the pavements by 5 in the eve. Food is great in JAVA, and potheri. One can truly enjoy in SRM, we don't have major restrictions except for in-time. We have two fests in a year, which would be crazy and fun.
Overall, SRM is an experience one will not forget. So if you are getting in it, be ready for some major excitemement. Just be consistent, and placements are guaranteed.
Kattankulathur Campus also houses the SRM Medical College Hospital and Research Center and SRM Hostel. The SRM hospital could accommodate 1200 in-patients with 25 specializations in PG education in medical science. Round the clock security, ATM, Post Office, departmental stores, restaurants and numerous canteens are some of the facilities available in the campus. The highlights of Kattankulathur Campus are as follows: 42 blocks, spread over 250 acres The 3-star SRM Hotel with swimming pool
School of Civil Engineering Department of Civil Engineering School of Architecture and Interior Design Department of Architecture Department of Design School of Mechanical Engineering Department of Mechanical Engineering Department of Automobile Engineering Department of Aerospace Engineering Department of Mechatronics School of Chemical and Material Technology Department of Nanotechnology Department of Nuclear Engineering School of Electrical and Electronics Engineering Department of Electronic
Image result for placements in SRM Placements are always good enough in the SRM University. The highest salary CTC for MBA was INR 10 LPA and the average salary CTC was 4-7 LPA in 2020 final campus recruitment. TCS, IBM, MRF, etc were some top recruiters.
total value for money
College infrastuctre is amazing. It has all necessary favcilities ans equipments like wifi smart boards. They all are in well condition. The living spacess are cleaned on daily basis and hygienic food is provided
I was interested in this course so i opted for this. The teaching is very well. If any doubt they will clear it. The curriculum is well updated. The exams are hard and need very much hard work. Alll this will make me job ready
From the 5 semester the students are eligible for campus placement. Indias top companies visits our college for placment the highest package offered was around 1 crore per annum whereas least was 20 lakh per annum
Expensive bt getting its worth
Annual fest is amazing here
the infrastructure of the college is good , we have got a very excellent infrastruture in oder get a good space and communication , i would like to say that when i enter that college I can feel a pleasant atmosphere
I heard that teaching is very good , I would also like to join that college i hope I'll get a seat i there , once i visited this college by a chance with our school there all my elders and lectures are very friendly and helps us in all our doubts
placement is also one reason for me to chose this college , as the teaching is good and I will also try my best to get placed in a nice company . I don't have any other words to explain , i am yet to join this college
I'm not a student of that college , am yet to join there
The campus is huge and one of the biggest university in Chennai itself, the university is vast in term of both the space as well as the courses that the university provide. T P Ganeshan Auditorium within the campus is the state of the art auditorium with a sitting capacity of 5000+.
I did my B.tech in Mechanical from SRM University, i had great expectation about my studies at SRM, the infrastructure and the facilities that the university provide makes you believe that the quality of faculties will lay the same. Unfortunately that is not the case.
The number of students opting for a course at SRM is enormous, but the number of students who get placed after the course is very few, most of the students seek for help from external sources rather than from the campus.
Really nice infrastructure with great hygiene and facilities. Campus is eco-friendly and always lush green. Shuttle and bus services makes transport easier , provided by campus itself for free of charges
Quality education with a very vast syllabus. But one might find the exam pattern tedious due to frequent and comparatively more test than any other college, but also pushes a student to prepare more. Academics are not only limited to bookish knowledge but also includes many ethical , financial , political and historical subjects too.
Decent placement cell provides with plenty of practice to prepare one with decent amount of experience for the real placements. The average ctc is usually 4.5lpa ( data may vary per year) eith minimum 90 percent placements
Cost per student depends specially on srmjee rank and scholarship for each person but on average a person will be required to spend 2.5lpa on average. Rest depends on srmjeee ranking and 12th boards results
Campus life is fun and charming with new events happening now and then clubs are a big part of these events and one can find students with books and laptop doing self studies or hanging out with friends too. Campus can be seen with a balance of fun and education in a balance.
A go-to college for any student who want to pursue education in b.tech in Chennai. It is the best campus offered by srmist in my terms compared to others
Good Infrastructure, nice building, and well equipped labs. One of the biggest library. Best classroom. Hostel areas are best thing. All the sports facilities are good. Wi-Fi in full campus. Overall a great infrastructure.
Academic wise also great University. Great learning experience. All the course are well curated. Up to date syllabus. After 2018 more easy to score good CGPA. Difficult for before 2018 batch. Great overall development.
One of the best placement you can expect from an Indian Universities. More than 600 company visited till now for 2021 batch for B.tech only. Almost all are placed from Computer science branch. Easy to get placed thanks to SRM.
Not Value for money as it is costly University. You can expect 15-20 Lakhs in complete B.Tech program.
Campus is amazing, campus life is amazing. This is the best time of one's life when one come from home to college campus.
Overall nice College. One of the best Institute in India specially in terms of placement.
Everything is there you just name it and foresure its there. All streams have there different hangers equipped with latest machines and technologies. So that you can learn as well as have practical knowledge of everything you're taught in your classes. Every department has there laboratories as per there requirements and use depending upon there strength. Library and sports center are never be your issue of concern as they are more than one and each game is having there own ground.
As I have studied Civil Engineering from SRM so I can say that the Civil faculty is good and most of them are experienced. Every faculty there in SRM gone through different levels of exam process to be at there position so there are very good in there part.
It depends upon you as most of the companies of every stream came there for placements. So the only thing that matters there is that you're enough to clear there exams. Most of the companies who came to SRM are job specific. So that means they need you to do the best what you do which ultimately means you'll be getting better package as your job is specific.
It costs me near about 20 lacs including all expenses but it's worth it
You'll get the best experience there and you can also be part of fests and cultural as well as core teams
Hello,
Although it is quite unlikely to make 2 lakhs per month as a physiotherapist from SRM College of Physiotherapy, especially immediately after graduation, it is not impossible with experience, specialisation, and possibly private practice. The average monthly salary for recent grades is between 15,000 and 25,000 . Although earning
