Yes the college is spread over 250 acres with quite good infrastructure and greenery inside the campus, the campus feels spacious to roam around. It has good classrooms and all the required labs for various departments. Laboratories are highly equipped with upgraded stuff. Like computers and other machinery. There is an open ground with race track, badminton and table tennis court. It has basketball and lawn tennis courts also. Yes it it clean and hygienic and well maintained.
I am studying BTech in Computer Science and Engineering as I had interest in computer programming from my school days, the quality of teaching is okayish with proper lab classes and exams. Yes the curriculum is updated regularly with different regulations coming up, like I am studying in 2015 regulation and now 2018 regulations have come. So they keep on changing the courses as per the requirements and demands of the industry. To be job ready you have to work a bit extra hard.
The college placement has a good record with lots of product based and service based companies visiting the campus each year and hiring in good numbers. The highest package offered was 30lakhs and it went to the School of Computing which includes CSE, IT and Software branches. Average salary offered is not really high but still if you work hard you end up with a good package. Yes college is supportive and helps with placement training to the students before the placement season starts.
The course fees was high which is 2.5 lakh per year, which is high for an engineering college, fee can be reduced a bit to ease it for students and parents. Teaching and placements can be improved much more to justify the fees.
Its a lush green campus with, different types of building, it has an hospital inside the campus and it provides free consultation to college students. Students can engage in various clubs like technical and non technical. College fests and MUNs are really great in the campus. The security can be improved more. The students are from various parts of the country so it's nice to know different people, teachers are okay and support staff does it job well. It's in bit outskirts but well connected.
Overall it's a good college if you wish to join, you have to find your own opportunities to grow with help from peers and college. It has all the basic services required. Hostel life is amazing. Campus is really big and lot's of food joints are there in the campus. If you work hard placements won't be an issue.
College provides all the necessary facilities including fully furnished library with books and high speed internet connection. The college food is tasty. Wi-Fi facility is available in campus as well as in hostels. Food is also hygienic.
I am studying Computer science engineering. The quality of teaching is good and teachers have abundant amount of knowledge. Curriculum is well updated and it includes all the recent developments in the field.
Quality of placement is good. Placement cell is working hard so that every students gets placed. Many MNCs visited our campus like IBM, Aricent, TCS and many more. The average salary being offered is 4 LPA.
My course cost approx 2.5 Lakhs per year. If the students get placed in company then the money is not worth. Also, college placement cell try so that every students get placed.
Campus life is great. There is a enjoyable fest organised by our college every year. They also organised various co-curricular activities time to time.
College has a good life and I enjoy a lot.
It has the one the best infrastructure in TAMIL-NADU. It offers wide range of Courses/Programs, like Undergraduate, Postgraduate, Management, Arts and many more. SRM has numerous facilities which one can ever dream of. It only depends upon the student how he/she uses the resources.
There are various number of good teachers in SRM. It depends upon your luck if you get one. Other teachers are also good as well, they might not be upto your mark but who studies. College is the place where you make your dream alive, what it just needs is a spark.
Talking about the placements, SRM has one of the India's top most companies visiting with a huge number of packages in the private sector. Average salary is around 4 to 5 Lakhs, and the highest you can get is what's your level upto. If you have the capacity then you may be the one with the highest package in the campus.
It depends upon how you scored in the SRMJEE, or JEE, or of you are a topper of state board, you might get get admission for very cheap. Depends upon what is your branch or degree, the average fees ranges between 1,50,000 and 3,50,000, except medical degrees.
It depends upon how you enjoy your campus life. Also, depends on how you make friends and with whom ? I am having the best Campus life in SRM, with great food, awesome friends, it's like roller coaster with many up's and less down's. SRM also has many food outlets nearby and some in campus like SUBWAY, DOMINO'S, BURGER KING, MC DONALD'S, etc.
Overall you may or may not have the best life, it's just that you need to seek for the right opportunities and grab one.
My college has great infrastructure both from out and from inside . All the first year classrooms have air conditioned classrooms in them . We have non air conditioned classrooms from 2nd year onward . There is no shortage in any kind of lab equipment . Our classrooms are equipped with projectors and good quality speakers . We have free wifi provided in our classrooms and also in our hostels. We do have hygienic food provided to us .
I am studying B.Tech In Computer Science with Specialization in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning . I chose this course as it was in the highest demand and got over within a rank of approx 5000 . The quality of teaching is average ,most of the time its studying by ourselves using the PDF provided by the teachers that helps us score in the exams . Yes our curriculum is definitely updated . We also have flexible credit system .
In the past year , my college got one of the highest placements rates with very high package being given to many students . My college offers one placement offer for each student. This year various companies selected students with an approximate package of 7 lakh per annum and some students with 28 lakh per annum dream company.
As I got a scholarship of 25% , I pay 1 lakh 87 thousand . Yes , so far I do believe that I am getting my course's money worth .
We have great campus life . We have a mixture of culture and everybody is open and friendly with each other . Yes it is safe .
Its a good college .
The college provides everything, its upto the students how to use them. Class, Labs are good and library is a little bit small but you can find each variety of books. Basketball courts and other facilities are also there.
Yes, the study is good, we can say above than good. The curriculum is updated by adding new specialization branches and reviewing everything, the hod and proffesors tell the new trends that everyone should follow to makr your cv good.
Srm is well known for its placements, the student should fullfill the criteria, and boom you are placed. The CSE students got placed well, not only cse but also mech and eee dept are also good, just attend every interview and give tests for finalizing the criteria.
The Fees varies for all dept. But value of money depends on students, if he is really into work then surely he is making worth of it. But if you are roaming and not giving your best then its really a waste of money, the competition is everywhere you have to make it worth it.
Its not like student of year as you see in movies, some restrictions are there and they were made to avoid the nonsense and clutter in college and everyone should feel safe.
Overall the college is really good
The College infrastructure is amazing. The campus is well equipped with best-in-class facilities. They provide good labs, classrooms, and a library. But there are issues with Wi-Fi sometimes, and it may get connected and sometimes get disconnected. Hostels are standard, but the mess food is the worst. They provide uncooked chapattis, and a lot of meal includes refined flour.
The academics are good but sometimes the professors get nasty.Teachers here are well qualified for the course, but they follow a specified material and questions in the examination are asked from the same material. The course curriculum is relevant but not well designed as in last month of the semester, and they make you tense to the top.
The placements were tremendous and most of the students got placed. For exact placement packages please visit the college website.Around 6000 offers were offered as per the best of my knowledge. The highest salary package offered was 41.6 LPA, and it was offered by Microsoft. I don't know the lowest salary package offered. The average salary package offered was 4 LPA. Microsoft. Amazon, Barclays, Udaan, were top recruiters. Many other companies visited our college for placements.
The B.Tech in CSE with specialization in information technology costed me 3.5lac per annum. But I find it worth it.
The campus life is amazing. Its located a bit out of the city but still you get most of the stuff here and connectivity is good through local trains. Health facilities are great as a well equipped hospital and a medical college is situated in the campus itself.
Srm has all necessary infrastructure to make itself stand out as one of the best in the country in terms of research work done and push towards startup developments. Whole campus has Wifi connectivity. Living spaces are clean, although washrooms might get a tad bit dirty due to over usage.
I am studying B.Tech ECE. Quality of teaching would be 4/5 . If you are taking admission, try to check on some senior students through your relatives and get to know about the department that you are thinking of taking admission in. Curriculum is well versed, however more lab exposure in certain areas would be appreciated.
Quality of placements is super high. There is one thing that is really remarkable and commendable about this college, that is it's placement cell. You are sure to make it through if you have been sincere with your studies and have maintained a decent balance between othet activities and studies. Remember, studying always 24×7 might get you praises and reputation, but won't work during interviews. Make sure to do some other activities too, which help develop your persona.
2.15L per annum is the tuition fee , 1 L almost for Hostels(which is unnecessary) . Tuition fee might be justified, however hostels costing this much is absurd, it depends on how much they are spending on the maintenance, which this college does in a sort of a way bordering good efficiency.
Superb. You make a lot of friends, learn a thing or two about life and at the end of 4years, you do miss a lot about your life inside campus (and outside it as well, in PG's!). It is safe upto 85-90% of times I would, rest one cannot be fully safe in any circumstance anyway. Besides, now is a good time to learn how to be on your own and take care of yourself, out of your comfort zone.
All-in-all, superb friends, super cool campus, hell lot of studies and exams(negative point about srm..!), overall its good to say its 4/5. Do not feel bad because it is a private college. Work hard and try to realise your dreams! Cheers!
The infrastructure of the campus is nice and adorable. Classrooms are well equipped and air-conditioned. Wifi is also there but the speed of the wifi is slow. Many playgrounds are also available. The library and labs are fully AC. Hostels are standard. But the food provides by the mess is poor. The overall campus is hygiene.
I am currently doing B pharma. And the quality of teaching is nice and worthy. The curriculum is good and the faculty has great teaching experience and they are knowledgable. And they organise lots of seminar and which really helps in improvement.
College provides the best placement among other institutions in Chennai. The average package offered by the company was 4.5 lakh and the highest was 9 lakh. And college is proactive in placement scenario and TPO plays a vital role in that.
It cost me 4.10 lakh for full duration of my course. And it is worthy and value for my money because i am learning alot here.
College organise lots of activities and fest every year and I am having great experience and memory here. Teacher are really helpful and cooperative.
Hello,
If I were choosing between these colleges, I would generally prefer MIT Manipal, LNMIIT, SRM KTR, and JIIT before SOA.
That doesn't mean SOA is a bad college. In fact, it's a decent option with good infrastructure and placements, especially for CSE-related branches. But when compared to MIT, LNMIIT,
Hi,
With 75–80 marks in AP EAMCET and 582/600 in IPE (around 97%) , you have a strong board score, which will help in the rank calculation.
Based on recent trends, you can roughly expect a rank somewhere in the range of 8,000–15,000 , though normalization and your specific shift
