Amity University | M.Tech Admissions 2025
ApplyRanked amongst top 3% universities globally (QS Rankings).
No,
Unfortunately you
cannot
get admission in CS branch in VIT using your percentile in JEE Mains. You should write
VITEEE 2025
for getting admission in any of the VIT college.Your rank should be
less than 5000 in VITEEE 2025
entrance exam for claiming CS branch .
The VITEEE exam will also be less harder than JEE exam, since you have scored a good percentile in JEE you can score very good marks in VITEEE.
All the Best
Hi riya
So to qualify vit entrance examination you need 60 Percent aggregated marks in 12th physics, chemistry and biology or maths . And to qualify exam you need 55 percent to qualify it
Thanks
Manipal (Main Campus) vs VIT (Vellore)
Reputation: Manipal has better global recognition.
Placements: VIT is stronger in engineering placements.
Campus Life: Manipal is more liberal; VIT is more disciplined.
Academics: Both are good; Manipal excels in health sciences, VIT in engineering.
Choose Manipal for diversity, global exposure, and health-related courses.
Choose VIT for top engineering placements and structured academics.
Hi preetibhala
Both the colleges are very good but vit vellore generally holds more good reputation in things like
1 placement record with reowned companies like fortune 500 .
2 it has larger student intake
3 the fees for the same course is high than shiv nadar
Thanks
Hii,
VIT Vellore provides B.Tech courses with varying cutoff ratings for each branch. According to previous trends, Computer Science (CSE) shuts approximately 7,000-15,000 positions, Electronics (ECE) around 15,000-25,000, Mechanical around 25,000-35,000, and Civil around 35,000-50,000. Cutoffs fluctuate year after year depending on the difficulty of the exam and the number of applicants.

Hii,
VIT Vellore is better than VIT Chennai for B.Tech in Computer Science. Vellore has more experienced teachers, better campus life, top companies for placement, and more student activities. Chennai is good too, with modern buildings and decent placements, but Vellore is older and more famous.
If you want more exposure, Vellore is a better choice. But both follow the same course and give the same degree.
With a rank of 89,088 in VITEEE, securing a seat in the M.Sc. (Science) branch at VIT Vellore or VIT Chennai is unlikely. The closing ranks for popular branches like M.Sc. Science tend to be much higher, usually within 30,000–50,000 ranks.
However, you may have a better chance in VIT Bhopal or VIT-AP where the closing ranks tend to be more relaxed compared to the main campuses.
With a VITEEE rank of 57,321, you have a good chance of getting CSE with specialization or IT at VIT Bhopal and VIT-AP, most likely under Category 3 or 4.
Here's a breakdown:
VIT Bhopal: CSE (core) and its specializations like AI/ML, Cybersecurity, etc., often remain available up to ranks around 60,000 under Category 3 and even Category 4. IT is slightly less competitive and likely available too.
VIT-AP: CSE and its specializations tend to fill up more quickly than Bhopal, but with your rank, you can still expect to get a CSE specialization or IT under Category 3, especially in later counseling rounds.
Hello,
with a VITEE rank of 50,000, securing admission to the vellore or chennai campuses is unlikely, especially for highly sought-after branches like computer science and engineering(CSE). however, you may have better prospects in other bramches or at VIT'S Bhopal or Amravati campuses.
you can check your rank from following link
With a VITEEE rank of 46,080, here are your likely admission options:
Good Chances:
VIT Bhopal and VIT-AP (Amaravati):
Computer Science Engineering (CSE)
Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE)
Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE)
Mechanical Engineering
Biotechnology
VIT Vellore has the most amazing infrastructure! The campus is huge and super clean. Classrooms are modern, labs are well equipped, and there are so many cool spots to hang out. It feels great to study here !
The infrastructure of the academic blocks is as you expect from any college and is really good and perfect with proper and big and spacious classrooms, labs, along with big spaces for sitting and also canteens shops and even the toilets are really good and well maintained other than that the campus is also really beautiful and spacious with many trees facilities along with transport facilities and various sports ammendments although the hostels depend on which type of block and room you pick they are mostly good except for summer times when vellore is really hot ACs in classrooms should've been put although they are present in labs and rooms, the food is also dependent on your block but it's really mostly good only.
Overall insfrastructure is average. academic building are well maintained but hostels are very congested. Once u get any any room its very hard to change(they will act like SBI employees to u when u fill application for room changing).
